This is a superb place in a beautiful, quiet, rural setting and far exceeded expectations.  The spacious suite was decorated with taste and attention to detail, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a delight. We will definitely be back..

Outstanding experience

WHAT A PLACE!!!!  We specifically traveled up to Cherbourg to stay here and it EXCEEDED our expectations!  We had a huge room (actually rooms) in this beautiful huge home.  Not sure it even should be called a home, but it was beautiful and massive.  Everything was SO stylish and every detail thought through.  Clean, renovated and comfortable.  Very quiet.  The breakfast was truly amazing and we were well cared for.  The owners were SO warm, welcoming and caring from the moment we drove up to when we left.  I can't recommend this place enough .... it was great.

Get this one in your itinerary!

We spent 9 wonderful days in this charming cozy traditional house, using it as base to discover Cotentin. The house is very comfortable, very well equipped, decorated with refinement, surrounded by trees and gardens in a beautiful estate. Everything works, wifi is perfect. Owner’s are top hosts who live in the manor next door. Five stars!

Ideal for couples

Everything about our stay, for three days in June 2022, was excellent.  The Manor, set in calm and tranquil gardens, has been beautifully and sympathetically restored, each room having interesting and comfortable furniture.  The bedrooms are lovely with fabulous bathrooms and there is an attention to detail everywhere.  If you can manage it, stay in the large suite as it is really something special. Michel and Emmanuel are welcoming and excellent hosts, the breakfasts are fabulous and nothing was too much for them to help make our stay the best it could be.

Fabulous place to stay.   A real gem.   Beautifully and tastefully appointed.   Large comfortable suite.  Delicious breakfast.  A very warm welcome from the host who made every effort to make our stay a good one.  Splendid gardens.   Will visit again.

Wonderful Manoir with utterly charming hosts and vast rooms and bath rooms.
Absolutely quiet and very tastefully decorated.
The owners' local knowledge is second to none and we consider this a real find.

Wish I could have stayed longer

We stayed at le Manoir de la Fieffe for a complete week and recommend it highly. We chose the Amiral room which is so pretty and very spacious. We could make tea or coffee whenever we wanted so felt very at home. Breakfast was excellent. Emmanuel and Michel are wonderful hosts and full of lots of ideas about where to go and very helpful booking things, and believe me there are a lot of good places to eat in Cherbourg itself as well as further afield in the North Corentin Peninsula. It’s also a very beautiful coast to explore with lots of little fishing ports. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this very beautiful and well-appointed manor - surely the best chambre d’hôtes in Normandy!

A wonderful place to stay

Manoir de la Fieffe is a wonderful place to stay. This 16th century estate is so nicely decorated and well maintained. The rooms are very spacious and the building is surrounded by a fantastic garden and many old trees. Here you stay in a very calm neighbourhood and in proximity to tthe Cherbourgh city center. Manoir de la Fieffe is an ideal location and starting point to discover the Normandie. The hosts are very attentive, present and never obtrusive. They offered us great hints and tips for one-day excursions and to start off the day, the landlords spoilt us with a delicious breakfast.

A fabulours stay in a 16th century property

The place is magical. The architecture and decoration is exquisite. 

Great client service, the couple managing the property are very kind and helpful.

Rooms are just perfect. All little details are included. The bathtub even had bath salts!

Breakfast is delicious and served in a quiet room. 

The garden and all common spaces are super beautiful too. 

Perfect for couples of all ages, families with kids and small groups of friends.

5stars hotel experience in a private 3-room 'manoir'

This is a great place to stay, it is delightful. The hosts are lovely and their attention to detail was extremely pleasing. The beds were very comfortable, the bed linen understated and good quality. Small things, for example, the nighttime water carafes were lovely and very thoughtful. Overall the house has been sympathetically modernised to accomodate guests comfortably, it is charming. The bathroom fittings were excellent and the products provided were generous and nice to use. Everything in both the bedroom and the bathroom felt super clean.The Cotentin Peninsula is worth exploring, there are some gorgeous and places to visit and lots of history to discover. The Manoir is only a few minutes drive from the ferry but once there is a haven of peace and tranquility and makes an excellent base to tour the area.Breakfast was well worth a mention, again the attention to detail is pleasing. The food offered is all delicious with just the right amount of choice for us. I enjoyed the Handel playing in the background too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will choose the Cherbourg route next time we visit France so that we can.
