We only had one night at this fabulous hotel. Everything about it was great: the staff are smiling, helpful, expert. The hotel is fresh and light. Our harbour view rooms were wonderful. It really is a terrific pace that deserves to succeed.

Simply lovely

I chose to stay in this hotel based on it having a michelin star. The restaurant experience was excellent with exceptional quality food as would be expected given the michelin rating. I would note in particular that even though I was a lone traveller, I was given a table with excellent views. 
As regards the hotel, the location was excellent and the room was lovely. I’d thoroughly recommend it but particularly for lovers of fine dining.

Exceptional Restaurant in a lovely hotel

We stayed at the hotel on a cycling holiday with a few friends and the hotel is stunning! The location, the terrace, the position of the restaurant, the views from the room and the sharp white design of the hotel and rooms all make you feel you are in a special place.
The staff were friendly and they showed us where we could store our bikes which was a two minute walk but in sight of the hotel. 
We would definitely return
We also felt our room was ideal as well as we had the best view and largest terrace of all our friends - Room 301. It was slightly compact but who cares when you have a terrace, a sea view and a lovely drinks terrace to enjoy time there

Stunning hotel

This seaside boutique hotel is one of the best I have stayed in all my years working in tourism!
Certainly the best in Normandy and France.
The rooms are luxurious with balconies that over look the sea.
So much light the hotel is the height of subtle Art Deco class and quality.
All the staff cannot do enough for you.
The owners and staff are not only the most friendly I have experienced working in tourism but they all have superior customer service skills. I was most impressed with Adelie, Francois and Toni who went well above even my high expectations. 
The food is fantastic.
The hotel has a Michelin Star thanks to the chef Damien and his superb efforts.
The little town is quiet and has some great shops but nothing compares to this amazing hotel.
I give La Marine the highest recommendation!
5 stars and a very happy group staying with me! 

Best Boutique Hotel in Normandy!

It seems I’m guilty of not always writing positive reviews, so here we go.
We have been eating 2 or 3 times a year at the restaurant La Marine since 2006 not far from our home in Normandy.
Today was the first of our visits for 2019. Each course was sublime. The ambience and service is first class - as always.
The cost of this 3 course meal with amuse bouche and added desserts is amazing. The restaurant overlooks the sea and it is such a treat to go there.
We have never been let down in all these years despite it changed proprietaire a few years ago.
If you’re in the Cotentin you must visit!

Delicious lunch

Superb anniversary night away. Our room was upgraded & we were delighted!
The quality of service & staff greatly improved under the new ownership. Will definitely stay again, its local to us!
Two tips for them, as I say to all hotels! British & Dutch visitors like proper tea! It's easy to buy either PG Tips or Yorkshire Gold Tea in France. We never drink "English" breakfast tea!! It should be served with boiling water, cold milk & white sugar, if required!!! 
We had to ask for the breakfast menu.
Apart from that, wonderful!!

Highly recommended!

 Room was delightful. Balcony overlooking the estuary. Quite small balcony; but it lost the sun circa 4pm. Interesting arrangement of balconies and terraces. We were on 3rd floor, so we had a view of a number of the terraces, which was interesting for us; perhaps not for the people we overlooked. The guests on the 2nd floor terrace below us; were quite noisy (mostly mobile phone chatter) and worse when they had sunk a bottle of red. Breakfast at €24pp was quite high (compared with other hotels we stayed at). After 12 days in Brittany, we had become meal-weary and bypassed the gourmet restaurant, on site. Looked good though. Parking was potluck (about 7 spaces on site); we managed to secure 1 day only; but nearby was free and reasonably secure. Staff we professional and attentive. Carteret is a pretty village; good boulangerie, with excellent and vast beaches nearby.

Professionally run

Stayed at this hotel in August 2020 for two days on route to Calais. The receptionest was frIendly, and the room  was clean , with separate bathroom, and toilet. It was in an excellent area by the port, which was bursting with bars, and restaurants so plenty of choices on where to eat, and drink. The downside of the hotel is it had no lift, and you had to walk up two steep flights of stairs to get to the reception. Deffinatly not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or a young family. 

Excellent location.

Had a wonderful night at hotel on way back to Calais.  After afternoon on the beach enjoyed our room which was road side due to busy time of year. Drinks on the terrace watching boats come into the harbour in the high tide and beautiful dinner.  All in brilliant sunshine

Beautiful stay on return to Calais 

Hotel de la Marine provided  a lovely stylish bedroom with air conditioning, smart modern bathroom with separate loo. The room was too small and the bed a little too small Too especially for the price, certainly not worth the price. a small terrace lookiing across the estuary and out to sea. We had a room face the street and the sea, unfortunately we we woken up in the early hour by intoxicated guests who were bellowing in the front of the hotel.  The seaside town location is attractive, smart and peaceful with wonderful walks nearby.
