Stayed here in April whilst working on a film shoot. Weather ranged from snowing one day to mid 20's (c) the next. Stayed in a large family room, fairly basic but clean with extremely comfortable beds and on those cold spring nights, very warm.
Our host was very helpful and approachable and keen to make our stay as agreeable as possible and passed on lots of local tips and places to visit. We dined in on a couple of occasions - highly recommended! Delicious home cooked food and decent wine.
The location is stunning and this property makes a great base for exploring the Aspe valley. One Sunday we drove for an hour up the mountain, through the Tunel de Somport into Spain for a splendid tapas lunch in the town of Jaca as there were very few food outlets open in France on a Sunday .  Worth a visit to beautiful Lescun with amazing mountain views where the story 'Waiting for Anya' by Michael Morpurgo was set. Accous is an unspoilt village with a friendly cafe/bar, an Intermarche supermarket, excellent outdoor laundry facilities (yes!) and a great takeaway pizza parlour.

Very welcoming auberge in amazing location

Great base for the superlative walking/climbing in the Aspe valley. Welcoming, basic but clean and comfortable rooms, consistently good table d'hote dinners. Good wifi (and 3G coverage for that matter). They are also a trekking stables with some nice-looking horses for hire.

Very nice little inn, fantastic location

We are from Australia, and stayed at Auberge Cavaliere whilst a long road trip holiday through Mediterranean Europe. We decided to head up to the mountains a few days and were so glad we did. The setting of this bed and breakfast was just fabulous, and so peaceful compared to the bustle of the coast in summer. 

We ate dinner prepared by Huguette twice, and both times it was fabulous - we would highly recommend dining in. It was some of the best food we had on the trip, and felt like real home cooking, not the touristy stuff we got down on the coast. 

Huguette was a fantastic host as well, helping us to do some laundry, and taking a great interest in our enjoyment of our stay by recommending places to go hiking, visiting, etc. She has lived in the area all her life I think. If you stay you should go visit Lescun, it was one of our favourite nearby villages. 

There were a few small drawbacks, like the squeaky stairs, and the small bathrooms - this is not a luxury hotel, rather it feels more like a homestay. It is also not near any other establishments, so you will have to drive at least a few minutes if you want to go somewhere else to eat or drink. 

We would highly recommend, and will be back if we can.

Peaceful farmhouse in the mountains.

Stayed one night in late May on my way back from riding motorcycles in Picos de Europa. I just wanted a simple, little place to lay my head for the evening, before heading to the Route des Cols des Pyrénées. I got in a bit late and was a bit hungry, so I walked down to Accous, but nothing was open. The owner had already informed the that they didn't serve food, so it was no surprise when I arrived. It was a lovely 2km walk to Accous, but the walk back in the dark was challenging. In any event, I didn't get anything to eat that night, but honestly, I didn't care.
The owner, a nice lady, spoke perfect English and was very kind. My room was very comfortable and I loved the homey feeling. I had a great nights sleep and woke up to a simple but sufficient breakfast. My friend that was riding with me had an issue with his bikes battery, so the owners husband loaned is a battery charger and extension cord. 30 minutes later we were on our way to Jaca to get a new battery installed. The road (N-134) is a beautiful drive/ride so we didn't mind doing it a couple of times. If you're expecting luxury accommodations, look elsewhere, but I loved my stay and would stay there again if I was in the area.

A Comfortable and Quaint Auberge

This is a auberge and it does what it says on the tin. Convenient and pretty location, good food and accommodation at a level we needed, plus access to the free local wifi. Basic but clean en suite room with comfy bed. Small but interesting selection of wine available at dinner to accompany home cooked food with local produce. Chicken substituted for rabbit on request. Breakfast what we expected - and enjoyed. Packed lunch for two enough to feed more that twice the number and it is feeding us three days later.
