I hope to return very soon  the Maison Collongue, thanks so mucho to Guillaume for the wonderful stay and the great coffe and wines! Lourmarin was sorprised! A jewel we missed the quiet and the sound of nature!

Wonderful and magic place!!!

“Maison Collongue was everything we hoped for and more. I would say it's the best location to be based in for exploration and yet not too far from Aix or Marseille airport. Also wonderful grounds. The house is very elegant and modern inside while conserving the original character. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing - garden, pool overlooking a meadow, at the edge of a forest and donkeys grazing grass. The host is superb too, we thoroughly enjoyed discussing with him and felt as if we were being his own guests. I would go back without a second thought.”

At the end of a road in the middle of the countryside is this little gem. As you pull off the road and park in a small parking area you are a little unsure exactly where things are until you walk through a doorway from the garden and magically Guillaume, the owner, appears with a welcoming handshake. 

The house is beautifully decorated which you will come to understand is from Guillaume’s architecture and graphic design background. The rooms are spacious and simple (no air-con but the house walls are thick to keep things cool). 

The garden area is very “au naturale” and if it was me probably needs some cutting and pruning particularly addressing the wasps that were flying around the pool and the blackberry vines hanging down. But others may appreciate the very organic feel of a rustic garden. 

Guillaume is the perfect host. Attentive, friendly, intelligent and gives great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. 

I would highly recommend Maison Collongue. It’s about 3-4km out of town. Quiet and peaceful. Loved it. 


Rustic arty guesthouse with great hospitality

Nestled in a beautiful part of the world, Maison Collongue is truly a delight. 

Beautiful furnishings and thoughtful styling has created a highly aesthetic space which is also comfortable and relaxing. We very much appreciated the delicious breakfast array  and freshly brewed pots of Earl Grey both mornings!

Guillaume, the owner is a delight also, and it was lovely to meet Patrick also.

Perfect tranquil retreat

Calm and serenity, every details have been thought about to make your stay perfect at Maison Collongue. When vintage and contemporary design meet stunning renovated old Luberon barn. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Kindness of the owner and his recommendations for local restaurants, places to see and visit. Guillaume is an awesome host! The breakfast made with local products is really good and the pool fantastic!!!. If you're a fan of architecture, design and you want to relax, this is the place. Wish we could stay for few more days!
