I read the negative review complaining about stairs, luggage difficulties and bizarrly a minimal breakfast. Clearly some folk don't know the difference between a B&B and Full service Hotel! 
This charming B&B has delightful and tastefully decorated rooms, it's quiet and very comfortable, close to town and with free parking on site. Our host was charming, spoke perfect English and served up a delicious continental breakfast with quality products delightfully presented. We highly rate and recommend this place. Excellent Accommodation - Charming Host

A delightful place to stay, very close to the centre of Chartres, in a quiet residential street. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. Dominique was a charming hostess, very welcoming, offering a lot of helpful information about the beautiful city (go and see the city light show). Good breakfast. Parking available. I would recommend. Thank you, Dominique. 

A delightful place to stay, very close to the centre of Chartres

We wanted a comfortable, clean overnight stop close to the centre of Chartres and this was ideal. Private secure parking included in the price with breakfast. We underestimated the travel time between town and Eurotunnel which meant we had to ask for an earlier breakfast and the hosts were very accommodating. We were due to return after Xmas but we had to cancel due to Covid and again the hosts were very understanding. Thankyou.

Wry comfortable overnight stop

My husband and I stayed here for one night in July 2022. We had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and provided us with everything we needed. Our hosts were very thoughtful and helped us with questions we had about the lovely town of Chartres. Everything was great and we would absolutely stay here again! The location is an easy walk to restaurants, shops, the cathedral, etc.

Lovely bed and breakfast

What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Chartres. Our hosts couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The accommodation is definitely five star. It is within walking distance to the centre of Chartres.  This B&B is very highly recommend.

A wonderful place to stay.

We stopped here for one night on our way back to the UK. Our host, Dominique, welcomed us into her charming home together with sweet doggie, Lennon! Beautifully decorated and an oasis amidst the streets of Chartres. The location could not be more perfect - just a street away from overnight parking and right behind the Cathedral. Our room was big and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was fantastic and we felt very well cared for. We would stay here again! 

Be advised that Le Jardin is located on a busy pedestrian street in Chartres - and being Summer - it was busy until the early hours of the morning. This didn't phase us - we enjoyed listening to people greeting each other on the street below!

Super charming and relaxing stay

This little hotel is fantastic. A beautiful old house, a lovely owner (with a lovely dog), a gorgeous room, great breakfast and superb location, perfect. We were only there one night, but would have loved to stay longer in the area. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chartres. It has a lovely garden in sight, and sound , of the cathedral, in which the owner, Dominique, encourages you to sit and relax. 

An absolute gem

The very charming and friendly host and the wonderful style of the house and garden were so captivating we didn’t want to leave!  The rooms were in good taste and well kept.  We had a simple yet delicious breakfast, set in the beautiful dining room.  What a lovely place in a great location for seeing the cathedral and town.

A Gem

Just a few minutes walk from the underground parking lot, restaurants, and the cathedral, this property is in a superb location.  The only drawback for us was that the water pressure in the shower was weak.  I discovered that if you let the hand held shower dangle, the other shower head's water came out much faster.
    The church bells at 8:00 are not a problem since breakfast is at 9:00.  Breakfast was a variety of breads and jams. 
    Dominique was a great hostess, even calling a friend in the town where we were headed next to ask if we could visit her castle.

Planning to visit Chartres?  Le Jardin Cathédrale is THE place to stay.  You are two minutes from the Cathedral, in a lovely home [what used to be called an hôtel, or large private residence in town].  The owners could not be nicer.  You have a lovely simple breakfast, in an elegant room: in nice weather, you might even sit in the garden.  Large bedroom, impeccably clean.  Really, you just can't do better than such a place.  The female half of the duo speaks English.  Important to note: they only take CASH.  No credit cards.  If you plan to go in high season (we were there in March, which is not high season), I'd urge you to reserve well in advance.
