In my search for accommodation in Paris, I came across this beautiful cozy small hostel in one of the best neighnborhoods in town. In my opinion, it's all you need, especially when traveling alone. 

-The Latin Quartier is a GORGEOUS negihborhood. It is well-connected, just a few meters away from subway stations, the streets are clean and full of trees and flowers, there're plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and cinemas all around. You always feel safe around the area. And it's a 15/20 mins walking distance from Saint Germaine, so, for me it was AMAZING.

I stayed in a room for 2, which was really comfortable and with a beautiful view to the avenue. It wasn't noisy at all though. In fact it is definitely not a party hostel, so it's just fantastic if what you're looking for is a quite, clean, calm place to go back to at night and wake up at.

The bathroom of the room I stayed at was clean and modern with an AMAZINGLY good shower, which is great when you come back after walking the whole day. The builidng's got an elevator, which is great when you're traveling with heavy luggage. There are lockers outside the rooms, and your stay includes breakfast, which might not be the most abundant, but it certainly does the trick, and it's part of the fee you pay, so it's great! They offer coffee, tea and croissants as a complimentary "tea service" during the afternoon. There're microwaves and electric oven to heat up your food, which you can keep in a fridge in the kitchen next door. 

I'll definitly go back and I do recommend it 100%

Great hostel in Paris! =D / Genial hostel en Parí =D

Not sure about the negative reviews really, I had no issues here, staff were very friendly that I dealt with, especially the dude with the long hair that checked me in.

Clean rooms, good powerful shower, the bathroom ceiling could have done with a bit of a sorting.

My only minor issue is that it's cash only, but there is an ATM across the street.

No issues, would go back

Great convenient location. Clean rooms. Not noisy. Lockers are available without charge. Key card doors. Small patio area open until 9pm. Luggage room also provided so you can leave luggage with them until you need it. Good value for money. Booked online and it clearly states that balance is to be paid in cash on arrival, so I’m not sure what a recent reviewer’s issue was - plus their website says there’s a cash point nearby. WiFi is good: reliable and not slow. Breakfast is standard, as you’d expect from a youth hostel, but not bad at all. I stayed 3 midweek nights late Sept. Would return. Multi-lingual friendly staff. 

No complaints - would return. 

I really enjoyed staying here. Great wifi, breakfast, information and location. As long as you and your roommate are on the same accord with the temperature of the room it's very comfortable. I did not like the top bunk though as the bed felt flimsy and shaky. The lockers are small but handy.

Great Experience

My wife and I spent 4 nights here and it was fine: clean room, great view of the street, friendly staff.  A few things you should know: 1) this hostel does NOT have a kitchen where you can cook.  The dining area is a few table/chairs and vending machines.  If you need to cook, pick another hostel; 2) the bathroom floor floods after a shower.  I don't know who built this, but there is no separation of the shower floor from the rest of the bathroom and whole floor takes on water.  I used my flip-flop as a squeegee, so not a problem, but for others, it might be.  

Decent Hostel

This little hostel on Avenue des Gobelins, beside Place d’Italie, is quite hidden – we almost walked right past it. And from the outside it doesn’t look very appealing, we had a low-key ‘oh-my-goodness-what-sort-of-a-place-have-we-booked!’ moment. But, fear not, this hostel definitely knows how to optimise small spaces, with several rooms as well as a common area found inside. Moreover atmosphere is calm and relaxed, while the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

And while the space as a whole is small, this is not to say the rooms are teeny tiny. Quite the opposite in fact. Our four bed room had plenty space, as well as its own bathroom. This was, in my opinion, a little unusual for a hostel but also super nice. Because trekking to the bathroom, only to realise you forgot your shampoo is never fun. And realising you’ve forgotten your towel is new-level disaster. The bathroom was clean, with an easy-to-use shower and a large mirror (the essentials, am I right?). The rooms were well equipped, each bed had its own charging socket and bedside light  - very handy.

The location is quiet with supermarkets, ATMs and restaurants all close. The nearest métro stop ( Les Gobelins - Ligne 7 ) is on the same street as the hostel, giving you direct access to all of the city.

Breakfast is included (very extremely important factor in my book!!!). It is a pretty simple breakfast – two choices of cereal, bread and croissants. The BFF thought it was too carby ( and also couldn’t hack waking up before 11am :p ), but good ‘ol carbohydrates are the reason I worship breakfast. Plus they leave the extra croissants in the common room all day for you to take as you like!

I did see some signs asking guests to keep the noise down between 12am – 7am, but this doesn’t stop you from coming and going as you please. They were chill with us rocking up at 6am Sunday morning. *Apologies to our roommates who we possibly (most definitely) disturbed. Oops!

 Our stay at OOPS! Hostel  was overall a very positive experience. The location is good, the rooms are comfortable, the showers are warm and the staff are welcoming. And at €123 for two people for two nights the price was nice too.

Points to Note:

They don’t accept payment by card. Which I find kind of strange, because everything is par carte à Paris. But it’s all G, as there’s an ATM right across the street.

Check-in is after 4pm. You can hang in the common room munching on croissants, or you can drop your bags in the luggage room and go for a wander while you wait.

Check-out is 11am. 

Yes, they have free Wi-Fi and yes, it works  ;)

All in all, this is a super hostel in a super city!

Oops! Hostel : More than Meets the Eye

Great location, friendly staff and free breakfast makes this hostel as good as it gets. I booked myself in a twin sharing room and the it was bright and cheerful. Also, it had a clean private bathroom and cosy beds. Surprisingly, the room was bigger than I expected. The only qualm is that the check in time was 4 pm onwards and since, I had reached Paris by 11 am, I had to loiter the city for a long time before getting to rest. Also, the checkout time is 11 am which is a bit early specially if you have a evening or a late night bus or train to catch. Even though they offer a storage room to stow your luggage, it’s a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay in this hostel. Lots of eateries around the hostel and also a supermarket for cheap meals, if that’s what you would prefer. 

Just like a hostel should be

Organized, clean, bathrooms and showers in every room. I got a spacious 4 bed bedroom I have nothing bad to say. Maybe the wi fi wasn’t so good but nothing that spoils the experience.
There is an elevator which is amazing specially with my heavy bags, and the shuttle from the hostel to the airport is totally worth the price!

Very good

We had a quad room with its own shower, toilet, and sink.  Everything was clean and comfortable.  The mattresses were a little on the thin side and the bunk beds creaked loudly when someone turned or got up, but I still slept pretty well because we were very tired every day.  Sheets were provided and nice warm blankets.  Our room locked and small lockers are available for free.  There were plenty of outlets to charge your devices.  Computers are also available for use in the dining area.  Towels are available for a deposit fee.  (We brought our own.)  They have hooks in the bathroom for your towels and soap for the sink.  Our window opened onto the street.  It was quite noisy with it open, but very quiet when we closed it.  The breakfast is great -- two types of cereal, milk, bread, croissants, jam, butter, juice, coffee, and tea.  There is also a microwave, toaster and dishes available for use during the day for lunch or dinner.  You have to wash the dishes you use for lunch or dinner, but someone washes them for you at breakfast.  The location is just a short walk to the metro station.  The hostel also has an elevator, will print pages for you for a small fee, and offers a room to store your luggage before your check-in time and after you check-out.

A very nice hostel -- clean and great location

I stayed in the two bed room small but functional with plugs, clean crisp sheets, small bathroom but still good ( im not there for the day)close to line 27 of metro bus... a lot of restaurants within the area... will come back and i can refer friends if eco stay demands it
