We had a fantastic skiing  holiday with my adult children based in Chalet St Joseph. The staff Amelia and Charlotte were both very charming and helpful. The food they provided was excellant.Choice of breakfasts, fantastic afternoon tea , 3 courses in the evening and some of the best vegetarian meals we have ever had in Chalet holidays (2 of our party are veg.)It was also great to have Canapes and fizz on our arrival day. Just what is needed after travelling to resort.
The chalet is spacious and kept spotlessy clean, with lovely sunny balconies. The beds are very comfortable.Great bathroom products provided and fluffy white towels.
Dan offered a great service with the minibus to take and pick us up from various points around the 3 Vallies.
Jill always responded very quickly and efficiently to my emails and it was great to meet her in resort. 
Would highly recommend this small company and would definitely book again.

Skiing holiday

Loved staying at chalet St Joseph! Amazing views and the transport services to and from the slopes was perfect and all the staff amazing and helpful! Made for a very relaxing and enjoyable trip. Great food (breakfast/afternoon tea/ three course dinner and drinks!), and hosts! The beds and bedding were comfy, spacious and clean and bathrooms also clean and lovely products to use (body wash/ shampoo)! 
Would recommend highly and would definitely return here for a skiing trip again! 10/10!!!! Will be recommending to friends and family to use!

Ski Trip to Meribel - staying at chalet at Joseph in les Allues.

Stayed here in early January with a singles ski group.  Chalet is spacious and comfortable.  Has hot tub and sauna.  Separate boot and ski room with boot warmer. Bedrooms are comfortable.  Dining and sitting area open plan.  Need a short minibus journey to reach ski lifts or can walk but a little way.

Great chalet

We stayed as a group of 6 at St Joseph's during British February half term week 2020 and enjoyed our time there. We had both apartments on the 2nd floor of the chalet, these had a separate entrance. Catering was provided on the floor below with two other families staying there. The chalet staff were excellent, the food was of a very high standard, plenty of room to sit everyone. There is a nice lounge area too .

I would like to praise the wonderful Dan, who was the chalet minibus driver for the lifts to and from the lift/bus stop and pick ups from our daily Meribel Village LDV apres ski.
Just ring Dan and book a lift each day. No worries. Thanks Dan!!!

Equal praise must go to the guys at the ski rental Slide Candy used by the Alpine Ethos. We ended up using them for all sorts of things and they were able to accommodate all our requests without fail and good humor. I was particularly impressed by the boot fitting expertise. 

Should you stay here ? Yes, if you want good food, nice atmosphere, good service and if you are not bothered about direct ski in/ski out. Les Allues is down the mountain a little so you have to bus/bubble lift or drive up to the slopes. We did not find this an issue ourselves. Les Allues has a few bars and restaurants -enough for your chalet night off and it's a pretty village. The only minor negative point for the whole chalet stay I can think of would be the showers in the top apartments only being a stand in bath and hold it arrangement with a height restriction to one end of the bath. I'm 6ft 1 and it was not really a problem, just a bit cramped, it would have just been easier to have a normal shower. 

Would we stay here again. YES! Thanks Alpine Ethos for a great holiday.

Great Skiiing Holiday

A group of 4 couples visited Chalet St Joseph earlier this month. We cannot recommend it enough. Amelia, Charlotte, Dan & Katie could not do enough for us whilst we were there. The food was fantastic and all of our dietary needs were very well catered for. The hot tub and sauna are a fantastic feature which we all enjoyed at the end of a day on the slopes. Jill’s organisation is second to none and she helped us put everything in place to ensure we had a great week. Thank you to all at Alpine Ethos!

What a fantastic week!

A great chalet, incredibly good value for the price. Really lovely and welcoming hosts, good food, with excellent and thoughtful vegetarian alternatives. Being away from the main action might be an issue for some in the evenings, but has the upside that there’s a group in the chalet socialising each night. 
All together an excellent way to ski if you’re on your own- would highly recommend. 

Great for solo visitors 

Spent a great week at Chalet St Joseph with 13 other solo skiers. We had a fantastic time - the chalet is comfortable and spacious, food was great (including catering for dietary requirements) and the lift service to the bubble/from Meribel made staying lower a breeze. Thanks Jill, Amelia, Charlotte, Dan and Katie!

Excellent Ski Gathering

St Joseph is a great Chalet. It has very comfortable rooms, super friendly and helpful staff, and the food hits the spot too.

Les Allues is a great little village and no less convenient than being right amongst the main town further up the mountain. Having a minibus on tap takes away any the problems staying low may give you.

The hot tub and sauna are also a perfect way to wind down after a heavy day on the slopes.

Huge thanks to Jill, Amelia, Dan, Katy and the rest of the team for a great stay.

Don't Be Afraid of going low!

It is always difficult to find anywhere reasonable when you want to book for one person but this was brilliant. I just emailed Jill and it was very easy. Booked a flight with Easy Jet and transfer with Bens Bus.
Met many new friends. Staff all very helpful, a great fun week.
Easy to get into Meribel centre, either cable car or bus but we normally were taken up in the chalet mini bus and picked up later from the bar.
Highly recommended and I'd definitely go again.

Going solo? No problem

I found the whole process of booking with ski gathering seemless. Chalet St Joseph is excellent the recommended ski hire company we're great and convenient. The chalet has a driver who was marvellous and very accommodating. The chalet hosts were friendly and took no trouble in altering menus to cater for dietary requirements. Rooms were clean spacious. If you are looking to go skiing on your own I would highly recommend this. If you want to be in the resort and in the hustle and bustle then this might not be for you however if you want to ski/board with like minded people and happy to be outside of resort (but not too far and having a driver makes this so much easier) then I would recommend ski gathering and chalet St Joseph.
