We were fortunate that Becahnou was a highlight of our final vacation before the Covid-19 lockdown. Dominique, Jean-Francois and Claude exceeded our expectations at every turn and we honestly cannot wait to make a return trip.  The hospitality we encountered was so genuine and so convivial, and Dominique's kitchen  is so distinguished, that we immediately felt at ease and pampered -- despite our longstanding aversion to B&Bs and the dangers of the personalities one often encounters in them.  The hosts, as others report, are preternaturally charming and kind, and yet, they provide plenty of distance so as not to be cloying or overbearing.     From rooms to kitchen, the home is spotlessly clean and thoughtfully organized.  The breakfast and dinners will not disappoint and among the best we have had in a lifetime of travel to France.  I could go into great detail, but travel should be full of pleasant surprises.  Let Bechanou surprise you!

Magical Truffle Weekend

We stayed with Dominique and Jean-Francoise for 4 nights in their stunning country home near Plazac.  They were utterly charming hosts and nothing was too much trouble.  The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the Table d'Hote to die for!  We enjoyed relaxing in the garden with our own picnics too - a real home from home!

UTTERLY CHARMING!

Dominique and Jean-Francois are what make this place special.  The building is redone and has kept the country charm whilst importing the comforts of wifi, great shower and luxury sheets.  Having an aperitif by the roaring fire discussing the next days adventures with Jean-Francois is so nice; he provided information and driving details for our Cro Magnon adventures.  Dominique is an accomplished chef and delivers true French cuisine from her kitchen.  The highlight for me was dining with some of their old friends- a memorable night.

Class in the French countryside

What it says on the tin understates the excellence of this home-from-home. Really. The photos tell the truth and so does the description. You can have confidence that you will  not be disappojnted.  You will be delighted with the whole experience - including value-for-money. We stayed for three nights and we loved it. The greatest accolade we can offer is that a) we will go back and b) we will recommend it to our family and friends.

Simply the best in France...

Beautiful bed, breakfast (and dinner on various days in the week). All high quality. The dinner deserves Michelin star. Beds are very comfy, great view over the valley. The hosts know how to spoil their guests. Great swimming pool with view.

Excellent stay in luxury

We were greeted by the host, Jean Francois and asked if we'd like a glass a wine as we arrived a couple of hours before dinner.  Our room was large and comfortable.  The bed was excellent, the bathroom en suite  Our view from Our bedroom window was gorgeous. This is a very romantic inn and area to experience.  

But the food! My goodness, it was indescribable! Breakfasts were feasts--fabulous cheese, yogurt and jams fresh From the local growers or fruit from Dominique and Francois' own trees.  Delicious French breads, egg, granola--wonderful!  Each morning we ate with other guests from all over Europe, a real treat.  Dominique is a fabulous cook, so make sure you opt for the dinners she cooks several times a week.  They were my favorite meals, including all the restaurants we ate at in our five night stay.
