This really is a special place.  There are turrets and stone spiral staircases.
Our welcome was warm and friendly, and the bike was given a safe place to stay.
The room was enormous with an excellent shower.
Due to the solid stone walls, wifi and mobile reception were tricky to find, but it was possible.
The evening meal is exactly what you want from table d'hote:
dining with your host and other guests,
a local aperatif with snacks,
an excellent 4 course meal
washed down with some local wine.
Breakfast was equally generous and we left with very warm feelings and the hope that someday we shall return to Domaine du Clap.

Somewhere special with a friendly welcom

We spent just one night here on our way to the south. Everything was perfect: the building, the rooms, the food and the hospitality. We were part of a group of six and we all want to return in the autumn. 

Would recommend this to anyone. Visit and enjoy.

A gem of a find

The Chambre d'hôte is located in the mountain area of the Ardèche, in a small village called Pranles.One day we took a long walk round the nearby vulcan (a 6 hour walk). We also visited much of the northern area of the Ardèche using Domaine du Clap as basis.
Our host, André, helped us with maps and advice about the area. 
The rooms were spacious, neat and well isolated. The evening meals served by the host were excellent, varied and copious. André was a perfect host to his guests.
When using the Internet connection (set-up over the electricity network), be aware that not all plugs in the room are connected to the Internet.  Ask first what works or do a quick test.
