OK, so it isn't a five star hotel, but within its own category it can't be beat. Service was very pleasant. The elevator was fairly large for Europe. The room was a decent size.  It wasn't loaded with character--in fact it reminded me of staying at a Holiday Inn or Radisson at home, but sometimes that's what you want.  The location was superb, right across from the cathedral. I'd stay here again. And, the price was right.  Also, although we were right next to the elevator, we never heard a thing because of the way the room was laid out.

Great for a Two Star Hotel

A 2 star hotel recommended to us by the tourist office.  An early evening arrival in the town on a busy Friday night. We were not expecting great things but the hotel is centrally located, has its own garage, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.  Our room was clean, large and well equipped but the decor was a bit tired.  The bed was enormous and very comfy which was great because the weather was so hot.  Breakfast was good.

Good value for money

Hotel Dupleix is ideally located in the center of Quimper within easy walking distance to restaurants, museums, and the Cathedral.  Our room was a corner room on the top floor.  Although there is no AC we got good cross ventilation from a small window and a skylight/window. The room was clean, large and included a good flat screen TV, desk,and a small sofa.  The bathroom was also nice sized.  Staff was quite pleasant and worked with us and our minimal French.  There is adequate free parking - a great asset when in the center of a French city.  The elevator is also nice size.  A great value - particularly for the location

Great Location - Equally great value

We stayed one night after being washed out of our camping, vacation. Great sized room that allowed us to dry out our wet gear. Friendly helpful staff, even though our French is terrible. Good location in centre letting us look around the lovely historic centre of Quimper.


Very good sized room

This fairly basic hotel is in a great location for exploring the old town - just 2 mins walk from the cathedral. The room we stayed in was pretty tired - but the main concern was the shower over the bath - no screen or shower curtain so every time you showered the bathroom floor became soaked - fine if it was designed as a wet-room with drainage - but it wasn't !  So we spent 2 days with a soaking wet bathroom floor ! Good selection of things for a continental buffet breakfast in the mornings. Overall, good value but needs some modernisation and the showers sorting out.
