This site is open in October, great for out of season motorhomers.  We had a lovely welcome and our meal was prepared specially with smiles.  The site itself is well cared for, facilities clean.

A lovely place to stay to enjoy the area and river activities when in season.  Wholeheartedly recommended.  We hope to return before too long.

End of season motorhome visit

We rented an ecolodge for 2 nights. The whole family loved it ! A very exotic experience in a beautiful French region. The campsite is secure and pleasant, the staff is attentive, perfect for a stay with children.

Unusual and lovely stay

We stayed here after another site nearer to Saumur cancelled on us at short notice and found this site as an alternative.
The site is pleasant and it has a reasonable number of flat pitches for camping, caravaning or motorhomes, additionally it has rental units of varing shapes and sizes.
Our visit conicided with both the Ascention Day and Whit Monay holidays so the site was busy during these weekends but reasonably quiet at other times.
The staff are pleasant and helpful, so much so that dunig a storm that lasted 24 hours it was reassurung to notice that our tent wasbeing checked at all times.
The toilet and showers are constructed above ground due to local flood codes and they have disabled facilities at ground level but the cleaning and supplying of toilet paper could have been more frequent.
There is a local road bounding the site and we found this to be a little noisy during the local rush hour but all in all a nicle local site.
THe River Louet is lovcated byth camp gatexs and there is a municipal swimminh pool and little snack bar.
Free wifif is only to be had near the reception but you vould purchase vouchers for the site wide service.
All in all a very pleasant site.

Pleasant Location

Only stayed here one night as a stopover. Had a really good sized pitch. Just got to choose our own. Not sure if that’s because it wasn’t too busy. It’s by a road but not a busy one

Bar on site which we went to. It was tipping it down with rain but not cold so we managed to stay out under a parasol. There was a marquee up which was full of foam and loud music so great for teenagers. For what we thought was a small site there seemed to be a lot going on. We didn’t really see the nearby area so can’t comment. 

Night stop

We looked forward to spending a couple of nights at this site, based on the ACSI description of an architect-andscaped site. Big disappointment!! The grounds were nothing special. The pitches were a good size, grassy, reasonably flat but a bit bumpy. Some pitches we looked at did not seem to be  well-maintained or inviting. grass not cut and weeds everywhere. Trees needed pruning. Maybe because they had severe flooding a couple of weeks before we arrived??
There were super, modern shower facilities but unfortunately we found the showers didn't drain very well. And, bizarrely, the shower block was situated on top of a a huge mound!! Be prepared for a short but steep walk to the top - 20 steps.
The manager and receptionist were very welcoming, chatty and friendly and there was a good snack bar with free Wi-fi at reception. Pitch prices were very good but I think there was a missed opportunity when this site was designed - it could be so much better.
