We have spent a week travelling through the Loire valley staying in different other hotels but Demeure des Cordeliers was unbeatable. You feel good as soon as the automatic door opens for you to park your car in the inner courtyard. We had the Tour room in this amazing villa and it was great. A huge room with beautiful old parquet flooring, high windows, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with a modern bathroom and a heating system which works perfectly (this was not necessarily the case in the other hotels we went to.) The breakfast room was just as beautiful and cosy with a fireplace that made us feel even more comfortable while we were having our nice French breakfast. 
And Stephane is the perfect host, friendly and knowledgeable about everything you need to know as a tourist in this area. You should also rely on his restaurant suggestions!
I normally don't write reviews very often, but in this case I would like as many travelers as possible to experience the same perfect lodging with a home feeling!
So, if you plan to go to Blos this is where you have to stay!! Thank you Stephane!

The place to be in Blois!!

My husband and I recently stayed at this BnB for two nights, and we had a wonderful experience. Stéphane was a very gracious and kind host, and he gave us great recommendations to make the most of our short stay in Blois. The home is a short, easy walk away from the center of the town, and the secure on-site parking is an excellent, convenient way to ensure you have your car to explore the Loire Valley. We stayed in the Tower Room, which was incredibly spacious, quiet, and had a lovely view of the interior garden. We also enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and the glass of local wine Stéphane greeted us with. Merci beaucoup, Stéphane!

Cozy Rooms and Incredible Hospitality in the Center of the Loire Valley

Such a beautiful gem of a place to stay in Blois
On a road trip as a couple and booked here rather than a standard hotel 
Met by the host Stephane who was so welcoming and accommodating - giving helpful advice and recommendations for seeing the lovely town of Blois.
The most beautiful hotel with an oasis of tranquility in the garden where Stephane has his perfectly ordered vegetable patches 
The room is unique retaining all the features of the old building but with modern touches, the comfiest bed and lots of space
Breakfast in the garden was ideal and delicious- fresh fruit salad yoghurt and croissants… and cake that we took with us for lunch on our onward trip
The beauty of free private parking within the courtyard of the hotel was a huge plus!!!
Stephane has created a truly lovely bed and breakfast experience- thank you- we hope to return !!


Such a beautiful gem of a place

If you have the intention to visit les châteaux de la Loire this is the perfect place to stay . You will have a free parking and have the chance and the joy of living in a historic convent .

Once you pass the front door you can see a magnificent garden in front of you where you can enjoy sitting in a confortable chair taking a glass of rosé after a day of visiting beautiful Castel. Don’t worry about the dinner you’re just step away from a lots of good French and other restaurants. 
You can even go to see the lights and sound show every night without having to take your car. 
The rooms are more than perfect each one of the 3 have a different look. 
Very comfortable and modern at the same time but you feel the warmth of the history in the wall !!!!
This place is like a five stars ⭐️ 
You have to leave the experience to understand! 


Best kept secret in Blois

This is the perfect place to explore Blois and its surroundings or for a nice and relaxing week-end. We stayed 4 nights in the Beauvoir room and we had a fantastic time. The house is splendid and is very close to nice restaurants and touristic places, so you can walk around Blois or even cycle a bit further away. The room and bathroom were large, very comfortable and had all what we needed. The French breakfasts were excellent and had a lot of choices (we loved the home-made cakes and jams from Stephane 's wife Marie) and we ate like Kings each morning in the garden. Stephane was very friendly, he knew a lot about Blois, its area and the local food and drinks and he made our stay special.  We booked directly from the Demeure des Cordoliers' website and it was easy and cheaper than booking via other websites . We will visit again soon!

Perfect place to stay in Blois

The house is centrally located and has private parking and  makes an ecxellent base for visiting the chateau. We stayed for 4 nights in the Tower Room and found the accommodation and breakfast to be excellent. A massive room, plenty of storage space and with tea & coffee making. The shutters and a fan helped to keep the room cool in the heatwave. The mini fridge with cold drinks on the landing was also much appreciated.  A good quality breakfast including fresh fruit, bread, pastries and cake was served outside in the lovely garden. Stephane made us feel very welcome despite our inability to speak French and offered some great restaurant suggestions to us and tips on the area. This was our first stay in a French B & B but we will certainly be looking at using them in other cities when we visit France again.

Excellent stay in Blois

The Demeure is a beautiful former convent in the centre of Blois, refurbished during the pandemic to create a stylish place blending traditional & modern

The accomodation is spacious, the bathroom up to the minute, the bed v comfortable. Stéphane has real attention to detail, making for a really pleasant & welcoming stay

Best b&b ever?

We had three nights in the Demure des Cordeliers and it was the perfect base in Bloise.  The house has good parking, secure with a gate.

The location is great, just a few minutes from the Cathedral, restaurants and the free shuttle bus.

The rooms are set in a beautiful 300 year old house, although the beds and bathrooms are all high quality and work brilliantly.

There is a lovely garden with seats you can enjoy if it is warm.

The owner, Stephan was the perfect host, and it was like staying with friends, a glass of wine, great recommendations for local visits and yet we didn't feel we were in the way.

Lovely  breakfast in a charming room.

I would completely recommend this place.

Like staying with friends in Blois

This B&B is well decorated with classy furniture and very spacious. Decoration reflected the owner's neat and care for the travellers.  It is located in the heart of the old town and closed to the landmarks of Blois. Reaching by care was easy and private park without extra charge is provided. We felt like we were in a five-starred hotel, not counting on the lack of refrigerator(which we did not need).   Nespresso machine is also provided with plenty of capsules. Breakfast is nice and plentiful. We like the yard with the owner' cats that were friendly.  Staying in this B&B is the right decision for us. It could be an option for those who would like to visit the Loire valley. 

Charming B&B in Blois

Charming hotel - huge rooms elegantly furnished in tasteful Parisian style. Delicious breakfast and welcoming hostess. Good location in the town and secure parking on site. Tucked away behind high gates in the corner of a square with a small name plate so may be hard to spot.
