A perfect host who gives you the feeling of being a very welcome friend.We came there as a stop over on a long trip with 3 children. It is a lovely place with a small Garden. After a Night in the beautiful rooms you get a great and rich breakfast. Nearby you can swim in the river. This nice village Is a good place to calm down and to visit the castles at the Loire. We already came twice and we will come again! Thank you for the fantastic start in our vacation 

Much more than a stop over

We stayed in a cottage built into the caves, it was 40 degrees this week and it was sooo cool in there, beautifully decorated, really comfortable and we slept so well. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, the night before we said, let’s get up, have a quick but for breaky and get off!! Ha ha an hour later we were still sat there, local fresh produce, the jams were to die for, so good, so different, the bread, the juice, the coffee, just perfect. Oh and a great host too!!! Thank you so much for a great stay 😊

Great stay, fantastic breakfast

We had a most delightful weeks stay at Cote-sud in Troo. You will receive a most delightful welcome from the owners. We had a glass of local rose wine from a vineyard which was only metres away from the house. We eat out each evening at different hostilities and found a lovely little cafe at the top of Troo. It is next to the church, but do try and reserve a table it is popular with one and all. The little riverside cafe is a great lunch venue. So, back to the chamber-d’hote...the breakfasts were superb, each day a different kind of local cheese, bread or speciality. Dominique explains what jam or conserve she has made for that morning. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and will help with reservations and such like. We will be back as soon as we can.

Charming and quaint 

This was an overnight stop, en route to the Dordogne, and was outstanding.

We were given a warm welcome and, after settling in to our beautiful room, a glass of sparkling rose in the Family Sitting Room.

We were recommended to eat at the Auberge du Chateau and a Reservation was made for us.

Breakfast, as often experienced in a French Chambres d'hôte, was just what we needed, to prepare us for our long drive South - freshly baked bread, croissants, yoghurt, jams etc etc - wonderful!

Delightful Stay

I have tried to book this place before, but it was always booked up. Now we know why! This was a delightful overnight stop - the welcome was as warm as other reviewers have said, our room was full of all kinds of curiosities and the bathroom was spacious and immaculate. Troo itself is lovely to wander around after a long day's drive and we were pleased to find a little bar with outside seating for a much needed beer! 

We had an excellent night's sleep in a comfortable bed and woke to the much praised breakfast. There was a huge choice and most importantly, quite the best coffee we have ever had in a B and B or hotel for that matter. Properly strong and flavoursome!  We would certainly recommend it to friends and hope to come back ourselves.

Intriguing place, warm welcome

Troo was the last stage on our way home between Normandy/Bretagne and Luxembourg. We had a very warm welcome although we had no reservation. We stayed one night in a very charming indian style decorated room with a large bathroom. The breakfast table was the nicest and best of our two weeks trip with selfmade marmelade, special fresh cheese from Troo and all you could expect.
