I've just spent four nights bed and breakfast at Manoir du Perray and loved it. A splendid, period chateau in fabulous countryside with a lovely interior and also with a pool. The owner and staff were fab and made us very welcome. Not to be missed in my opinion. Next time I would bring a car but that's not to say we didn't get around. Taxis were generally available. For the reader to note - this is a B&B not a hotel. A fab place ... enjoy!

Viva le Chateau!

Stunningly beautiful with a elegant history that hasn’t changed,surrounded by park land with lots of wildlife.
The owner and staff run the bed & breakfast to preserve for future generations to enjoy  this period castle.
The swimming pool was such a peaceful silent place and kept very clean. 
We made a special request for a sandwich as we knew it isn’t a hotel and the staff went above and beyond and delivered us a lovely lunch by the pool for us.
The whole place had a great atmosphere and we had a very happy stay.:)

Charming Chateau very peaceful location

This place was simply amazing! The rooms were so confortable and clean. The view from there is amazing! The gardens are well maintained and look so nice. There is even a "small zoo" with horses, lamas or even a wallaby!! The staff was so police and helpfull. When I went into the room, the owner asked me at what time I would have my breakfast, I answered 7.30 even though I thought it was a bit weird to ask. In the morning, I understood why as they had our plates ready on a big rounded table in an amazing castle room. Everything was really tasty and fresh. 

p.s.
the location is not bad if you want to visit Nantes or other cities around but you would definitively need a gps and some luck the first time you go there.

Amazing place!! I strongly recommend!!!

Beautiful place to stay with very friendly service. We are a family of 5 with two young kids, baby and dog. The house is very impressive and the kids enjoyed looking at the horses, wallabies and other animals. It was a little tricky to find and it would have been nice to have a little information on the history of the house. We were recommended a lovely restaurant and all in all a good place to stop over on the way back to our ferry from Cherbourg.

Over night stop

We stayed at the manoir for 2 nights. The manoir is in a rural location 15-20km from Nantes. There are no restaurants nearby and the owner only serves breakfast. We had trouble finding the property as there were no signs for it where we came from. The owner did not have our reservation even though it was confirmed.  We were given a better room in return but still did not feel very welcome. The feeling continued throughout our stay as the room was not cleaned the next day. We wanted a cup of tea in the afternoon but the owner was very annoyed. So basically you should view this place more as a self catering option than a hotel. Breakfast was the redeeming feature as it was very good, and the manoir and the grounds are beautiful with a variety of animals including deer and lamas. If it weren't for the lack of service, I would have given it 5 stars.
