We spent three nights at this lovely B&B in the years pre-Covid. Great hospitality. Everything well organized and an excellent breakfast with homemade food. I wonder if the B&B is still being run by the gentle and friendly couple who hosted us.


A lovely place, off the touristy route but so worthwhile being there and getting to know.

Had a really lovely time staying at this little B&B while visiting my daughter, who was working nearby during her university summer holidays. My husband, 15 year old daughter and I stayed in a triple room - it’s on the top floor via stairs. Room was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable, we had a spacious en-suite, and breakfast was tasty - croissant, bread, home-made jams, healthy home-made yoghurt concoctions and lovely scrambled eggs. Philomena, who runs the place and her husband, Paul, were very accommodating hosts who offered lots of helpful tips. They are from the UK so conversation was easy and I really enjoyed our chats over breakfast - all with appropriate social distancing measures due to Covid-19 regulations. Definitely a great B&B experience.

Great B&B

We stayed in Phi and Paul's lovely b&b for three nights, enjoying warm hospitality, lovely comfortable bedrooms (all en suite) and excellent traditional French breakfasts (with a modern twist). The region has so much to offer - in our short break we enjoyed great mountain hiking up to Montsegur, relaxing in the thermal spa at Ax, great music in neighbouring bars, meeting friendly and interesting locals and drinking far too much beer (of the locally brewed craft variety). Highly recommended

Lovely comfortable b&b, great breakfasts and warm welcoming hosts

I have read all the positive reviews written on this lovely B&B and after our visit we can confirm all of them. The place is cosy, comfortable, 'real' and Philomena and Paul are really friendly hosts. The care and tidiness of the rooms, the silence of the place and the lovely food are unique. Were it closer to our region, we would go and stay at Les Deux Petit Pois as many times as possible!

Summer 2018

The rooms were welcoming and very comfortable...and the location was PERFECT! We saw castles, the Pyrenees, beautiful landscapes, paleolithic cave paintings and were so close to many Cathar Castles including Montségur and Carcasonne. Philomena and Paul (the hosts) made our stay in France the best we could have imagined! Paul knew every hike possible and provided us with various hiking maps and detailed info about all of the places we wished to visit...making our stay easy and enjoyable with absolutely NO STRESS! He even surprised us with his thoughtfulness one morning....we had hiked in the rain and our boots were soaked by the time we returned the evening before...in the morning when we were ready to go we were pleasantly surprised that he had dried our boots out for us!!!! The food was AMAZING and Philomena made us feel as if we were visiting family! I cannot recommend this B&B enough. We will definitely return in the years to come!!!!

The BEST B&B we have ever stayed at!

We even came in late as everything in the area was bookes... but we were welcomed in a warm and friendly way.. The rooms were very clean, cosy and the bed very comfatable.. We loved the homemade breakfast and some of us a lot of very good coffee...  All of the house is dekorated in a tastful way .. I so look forward to come back to this place with its stunning nature all around.

Paul & Fia have a lovely place which is well situated for walking and cycling in the wider area.  They have maps and local knowledge to cater for all things.

Friendly and happy to recommend places to eat or visit.  Breakfasts were great and we have started eating the same at home.
