The house is amazing and we have stayed there 4 times now. It's in a large garden and there is a lovely walk down to a big lake with huge frogs. The rooms and the self catering are all great. Try it, well worth it.

Great place to stay. Rural and scenic and very unique also.

Fantastic place and location.

We booked this place in January 2019, without reading any reviews. Being our first time in the South of France, we were taking a risk. 
We arrived the Château quite late on Tuesday night, Gabrielle was there to welcome us. In fact she came to meet us outside by the car, she was very warm indeed. So in our minds we thought so far so good. She showed us around and then to our bedroom. Our room was beautifully decorated, my hubby was particularly impressed with the wooden floors, I was impressed with everything really, especially the little tray on the side table with the welcome note and a chocolate.

We were in South of France for a wedding, so we had the opportunity to visit another Château which was equally lovely, but there was something about Château Bellevue that differentiated it, It was homely, it was serene and Gabrielle and Urs made us feel welcome. They have beautiful horses, a pond, a home cinema and a large games room. They saw us in the mornings and stopped by for a chat. Gemma was the cook/care taker and she was such a lovely person. She knew the best places to take photos too. That is important for me :-).

The Château has a nice pool, unfortunately we didn’t have time to take a dip. There was soo much we didn’t explore while at the Château, which is ok, because we need another reason to return some day.

We spent 3 nights at the Château, when we drove out on Friday morning after checking out, we were very glad we by stayed at Château Bellevue.

A Hidden Gem in St. Avit

This is an absolute gem . The views are amazing and the chateau is gorgeous and packed full of lovely antiques and interesting art work. The owners were very helpful and friendly and definitely enhanced our stay. Small extras like a fridge to store drinks, glasses provided and, a beautiful terrace to watch the sun go down were really appreciated.To have such a beautiful pool included in the room price was the icing on the cake. We were attending a family wedding nearby and this was a lovely start to our visit.

Perfection!

We have recently returned from Chateau de Belle Vue after spending 3 nights there. What a stunning place it is. 
Largely an equestrian paradise, the owners have paid every attention to detail. Friendly yet professional, attentive to our every need. 
Our room overlooked the lake in the valley, with everything we needed. No TV which didn't bother us!
I would definitely recommend this place! 

Beautiful place!

My husband and I discovered this place while motorbiking through France and needing a place to rest for the night. After some not so great overnight stays previously, I was in need of some comfort and a little luxury. I was not disappointed. The Chateau exceeded my expectations. After entering the grounds through the electric gates, we were greeted by the owner Gabrielle Brachial Wenger (lovely lady). She showed us where we could park our motorbike under cover and then to our room. Everything was so beautiful and I could speak forever about how wonderful the house, the furnishings and artwork were. Our room was beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. It was with reluctance that I left the following day and I hope very much to visit again for a longer stay in which to enjoy the pool and to explore the grounds. 

A Gem in Paradise

Beautiful place to stay especially if you love horses.  Lovely views around and good walking would recommend.......but it is a diy breakfast and the coffee machine can be a nuisance at times but there is plenty enough to eat
