We had arranged for a tour of Chateau Kirwan and needed a place to sleep that evening. VillaBordoh was a perfect little chambre d'hôtes. Very personable, clean and a small refreshing pool in the garden which we were invited to enjoy. It was a very comfortable bed, very quiet, a great traditional French breakfast and just a nice place to stay.

Visit to Margaux France

We stayed from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd July for a wedding in a local chateaux. Was in Room 1 - the pool view room. Beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you would need for a short stay. FYI - only has a shower, no bath which was good for us. 

Lovely welcome from the team at Villabordoh - had a tour of the hotel (small but perfectly formed!) and was shown to our room. All staff were very friendly and helpful. 

Breakfast was delicious... plenty of pastries, yogurt, fruit, juices and lovely coffee! Also had lunch during our stay, one of the best meals we had on our trip. 

I would highly recommend Villabordoh - could not fault our stay and will definitely be returning when we return to France!

5* Stay at Villabordoh

I stayed this B&B hotel to enjoy Margaux area chateau. The room and foods were excellent. I thik this was great value for staying. And the lady owner was kind to help me to find chateau to visit because I did not have appointment. Of course, she knows  wine well.
I had good dinner there with Margaux wine which I could selected taisting. 
It was good dishes to have wine.

Friendly owner and good B&B style

We stayed here because of its good proximity to Bordeaux Merignac airport.  But it deserves a stay in its own right.  The two female co-owners are an absolute delight.  They really care for their guests, and have kitted the rooms out in the most tasteful decor.  The hotel has a very cosy, welcoming feel, and would fit in well in the most chic environments.  The shop is cute, the dining room delightful, and the breakfast exquisite.
If you are wanting to visit some of the many vineyards in the region you should stay here.

Beautiful and chic

Contrary to the policy to provide a full refund on early cancellation, this property has kept my money and ignored my emails. I have tried to recover from Booking.com but they are not helpful. Do not book this property! (This deserves a minus rating but oddly you have to leave a positive rating, of sorts, to leave a review.) 

Beware - No refund and emails ignored

Stayed for one night. We arrived very late afternoon early evening so would have checked straight out if we could have found another place to stay. We had room 2 which was up a very steep flight of wooden stairs almost like a ladder to a loft which had been converted. Toilet/shower cubicle did not have a door on only a curtain. Sachets of shower gel had splatters of what looked like food on but as we were travelling light had to use them. Bed had brown sheets and duvet cover which made it look very grubby also duvet cover had stain on which didn’t look very nice.  Breakfast was very poor natural yogurt 1 croissant and a piece of bread both stale croissant so stale I couldn’t eat the ends although did have a piece of cake which was good. I don’t usually give such a poor review but I felt on this occasion the cleanliness and breakfast were unacceptable. If the owners read this I do need an apology you just need to check your room cleanliness and make sure in future no one gets a stale breakfast

We booked via booking.com and it said pay on arrival we then had to cancel about 5 days later, the hotel took money off our card and have twice promised to refund but after more than a month have failed to do so - Beware
