Nice restaurant in a wine region on the Mosel River. I had a glass of the local Petite Syrah and my wife had a Riesling. The Riesling was very nice and the PS was a bit young. The service was prompt but not rushed and our meals were all very good. You can order traditional German meals or some pasta dishes that they make. Prices were reasonable and parking was easy at the edge of the village.

Dining alongside the Mosel River.

The location right on the Mosel is perfect. The staff could not have been more friendly right from the moment we walked in and were greeted with a delicious local cocktail to the check out. Everything was perfect. The breakfast was extensive and plenty of everything. The evening meal is simple, local food but very enjoyable and the selection of German wines was good. The bed room was big, the bathroom amazingly small but everything worked well and everything was spotless. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful location, great service, good food

Friendly staff.  The room was nice and big with little kitchen and lots of space to sit.  Little bit old needs bit of TLC but very clean an comfortable.  Good beds.  Good location with lovely terras overlooking the River.  We had dinner included and had no choice, had to eat what they served.  Food was good breakfast was also good sometimes they had bit of scramble eggs or boiled egg rest was cold but good.
Good place to explore the Moesel River up and down.  Lovely surroundings with nice walking trails.  Town is small but have a supermarket and other little shops.  Bigger towns close by.

Lovely Hotel

Really enjoyed our lunch on the terrasse- good service, fresh food and plenty of salad at the buffet. The position by the Mosel in a sunny day is idyllic. Staff were helpful, not pushy and prices very reasonable. 

Great food well priced, lovely position

I stopped off here when doing a trip in a ship down the Mosel from Koblenz. Alken is a pretty little village and I'm glad we stopped off here. By chance we ate at the Landhaus Muller. Had a fabulous salad from the salad bar and then creamy mushroom schnitzel with chips. Was the best meal from my trip to Germany :-) Lovely view of the Mosel across the road and had white wine from the Mosel area recommended by the waitress. Would recommend! We got the bus back to Koblenz.

Fabulous food, eat outside overlooking Mosel!

Lovely location across from The Mosel River. I had a very nice tomato soup with cream and my husband had the schnitzel. 
The service was okay as it is in many German restaurants. 
We enjoyed our lunch and the location. The town is small but very pretty and there are several places to eat.

Lovely Location

We would have liked to have a late lunch in this restaurant because the menu seemed good and the environment was nice. Nobody greeted us when we arrived in the empty restaurant which was odd because usually everyone in Hermany are very polite. We had already seated us (me, my husband, our child and grandparents) when an older male waiter told us quite a manner that we must move to the next table one meter beside us. The reason was that this table is reserved for the hotell guests ( there was no sign of this. And we were the only customers). When we wondered this, the waiter acted so rudely that we could not stay.
