We stayed in this charming hotel in this quaint town for 3 nights. The room was large & spotlessly clean & a rarity was the really comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious & light. Breakfast was a delight with a superb selection of rolls, eggs, cheeses, some tinned fruit, coffee, tea and an excellent selection of fresh tasty bread. The owner Mrs Cremer couldn't do enough for us & was the perfect host. In a country with limited wifi Internet (surprising) the hotel offered a good free wifi service. If we visit this area again, we would stay there without question.

Charming Hotel

Lovely hotel in centre of town. Charged 100euros when we turned up. Owner quite abrupt and has no sense of humour. She actually told us she was like the Hulk and we would not like her when she is angry!! However her staff are brilliant and looked after us. Food ok but limited. Breakfast super.

Good Hotel, not so the owner!

We booked into this hotel with a recommendation from a local friend.  Pictures had been sent to me prior to booking and I was more than pleasantly surprised that the bedroom looked so much better in real life. 
We had a lovely standard room which was in fact a suite - double bed and settee area with a spacious shower room/toilet.   Modern amenities included a flat screen TV - even though neither my husband or I are able to speak German so we didn't use it.   Bed and pillows were very comfortable.   Our room overlooked the cobbled street and though there were people talking below us in the bar when we went to bed (after 11), this didn't bother us and we slept well.   It was very hot the weekend we were in Germany (32 - 36 degrees in the day) and though there was no air conditioning, the room was not too hot.   Better than in the UK at the same period.
The hotel provides free wifi so there were no problems accessing the internet through our tablets and mobile phones.  Very important as my husband was working over our weekend trip.
Breakfast was very good and served in an airy large dining room.  Wonderful bread selection, a little fresh fruit, plenty of cereal choice and a choice of boiled, fried, omlette or scrambled eggs, fruit yoghurt, cheeses and cold meats were all on offer.
We didn't eat any other meals in the hotel.
The hotel was very clean everywhere including the communal toilets though not accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility..  Bedrooms were also upstairs and as far as I could tell, there is no lift so again the hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
The owner, Mrs Cramer was very friendly and helpful as was her son who was helping her at breakfast time.  Other staff were also very obliging.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we go to the area in the future.

Lovely hotel in a little village in the Eifel

This is a very nice, cozy hotel in an old "Fachwerk" building right in the middle of a beautiful town. We were pleased with the location, our room, and the service. But we were disappointed with the food. Dinner was average and breakfast disappointing for a country that prides itself on hearty breakfasts. Other than that, definitely recommended.

Good hotel, not so good food.

We were here for lunch and as we both seemed to have a hankering for mushrooms we both had mushrooms on toast.

The mushrooms on toast were very nice. The beer very good and the staff very friendly.
Definitely a place to go for a tasty lunch
