Wonderfull renovated apartment in a central and safe location in Bamberg. The apartment has every thing you need inclusive a fully equipt kitchen and high speed Wi Fi. The apartment is situated at the ground floor, and can be a bit noisy during the day (the street is very narrow), but the apartment is well isolated, and very quiet at night. Good value for money. My husband and I are staying in the apartment for the fourth time next summer.

The best place for your holiday stay in Bamberg 

I stayed at Ferienwohnung am Rathaus on an overnight holiday to Bamberg. The apartment is excellent: modern, clean, with reliable wifi, well appointed kitchen, good heating, and an inviting ambiance. The apartment is centrally located and we were able to explore the city centre by foot. Bamberg is also a good base to explore some of the smaller villages in the region. The family who rents out the apartment were very friendly and gave good recommendations for eating. Overall, strongly recommended.

Excellent modern apartment in central Bamberg

Stayed here for 3 nights, great price and it was immaculate! Lovely apartment right near the old town! Well insulated from the noise and very tastefully and carefully renovated! Highly recommend staying here if your visit Bamberg. Thanks for a great stay!

I only wish we had more than 1 night to say here, in this cozy apartment in Bamberg. The host provided great detailed info before arrival. We arrived and used the link provided in their email to open the apartment doors! Ta-da! Magic. We then used the parking lot card to park our car right across the street. Convenient. 

The neighborhood is busy and fun! 

The apartment is spacious - kitchen, living area, nice sized, cozy bedroom. Felt so warm there. 

If we could move in for good, we would have!

Loved Bamberg - its like the Shambles in York on steroids and for us this flat was the ideal base.
Its cosy without being cramped, well equipped and so central we could fall out of the door into the market. Its also in an historic timber-framed house. - We hope to return in the not too distant future

We went to Bamberg on a two day break and stayed at this apartment. It is in a central location with  kitchen amenities including microwave. The kitchen and lounge are the same space but this is no problem at all. There is a double bed at the back with a separate bathroom. The owners were very friendly and spoke good English. I would recommend this place for couples.

I found this holiday apartment on Booking.com and Trip Advisor: TownHall Holiday apartment Bamberg (Am Rathaus Ferienwohnung Bamberg).

I booked 5 nights. Germany is my preferred holiday destination. This time I had a big shock, the comments and photos about this place must be FAKE. The only truth is about the localization.

It's a very uncomfortable place on the ground floor. Like it was a garage this "apartment" was surrounded with a lot of bikes, baby carriages, etc all in the passage.(look at the pics I've put here)

When I arrived the key collection was not as informed via Booking.com (slick key code automatic entrance, key inside). Two small girls were playing outside, then one told me that she was the daughter of the owner. It was between the check-in times quoted and I'd sent an email before to tell the owner about my arrival time. A long time later the girl went inside and came back with a key. I wasn't confident to receive a key from a child under 12 years old so I called the owner, to ask about the code and key etc. She told me different stories, non of which made sense, then told me to wait until she eventually arrived. At last she arrived, very strange, no apologies for all the lies, and inconvenience. When inside, I detected it was a trap. The mattress must have been decades old, the pillow was horrible, bed covers all old. The street is very narrow and it feels like passing cars are driving inside the apartment, no chance to sleep. You can hear all the pedestrians talking when they walk in the street. The window is very low, you can jump to go in or outside. She said that they live behind. 

The small bedroom has a transparent, short, old curtain in front of the window which is very, very close with some strange people. 

Of course, I called her to say I won't stay there. I waited only until the next morning when I was able to find a hotel.

The city was full of tourists, so I could only find one available on the outskirts, but it was better than staying in this dump. I stayed one night in that hotel and managed to find a nice hotel in the centre for my remaining time, which is where I am now.

So guys, I suggest you take care about some fake comments here and others on this web site. It's a big trap.
