This hotel is easy to find and well located. As we arrived to check in, the hotel looked newly painted and well maintained. However upon entering to check in, we were met with a dreadful and very strong smell of nicotine. Luckily our room, as booked, was in the annex a few hundred meters away. 

The Annex room was basic but adequate for our needs. Additionally the hotel were able to offer us overnight locked and secured parking for our bicycles. 

Whichever WiFi provider the hotel uses does not allow WhatsApp calls home. A real issue as this is the way we ring home when travelling. 

Breakfast was served at the main hotel and I am pleased to report it was excellent. A wide choice that should have something to suit everyone. 

This hotel was more expensive than some we have stayed at and with a more budget offering. Sadly I suspect we will not stay here again.

Let's face it, Bremerhaven is not the nicest town in Germany, so, if you really need to stay there, you'd better compensate with a nice hotel.

From the the outside this one a little dilapited building in a side road quite close to the city centre. Even if the hotel is not cheap as it should be, the welcome is not especially warm. To get into the rooms you have to go back outdoors and round the corner you'll find a gated and very narrow alley which gets you into a small courtyard where you find the staircase to the rooms. Be prepared, they are extremely steep and hope that your luggage is not big or heavy. There isn't a covered place for bicycles.

The room is quite small and so is the bathroom. The window panes have not been cleaned since long and we find some hair in the sheets. WiFi reception is hardly acceptable. 

On the other side the breakfast is really rich, especially on the salty side. A lot of fish,if you like it.

There should be something better than that

Sure, this is not luxurious, but it serves a purpose. We stayed in a very comfortable room with a huge en-suite in an apartment building 5 mins walk away. Wifi was episodic.
The breakfast, served in the main hotel,  was exceptionally good.

BUDGET HOTEL

What I liked most about this hotel was the breakfast, which was excellent with lots of choices, especially lots of fresh fruit, and taken in a nice room with maritime decoration, very quirky. The location is fantastic as well, just a few minutes walk to all the important sights. The manager and the woman at reception were very friendly and my single room had a good size and was very quiet. It was also no problem to leave my luggage for a few hours after check-out. Cleanliness was not perfect, but ok.
Unfortunately, though, there were also many negative things: The bed was totally uncomfortable and the bedding very old and worn-out, as was the room in general. There was just one big bin in the room, without a plastic or garbage bag in it, no bin in the bathroom, and neither soap nor toiletries. Moreover, the cleaner wanted to throw me out of my room one hour before check-out time because I was the last room left for her to do and she wanted to call it a day. I talked to the manager, though, and he apologized for it. Altogether, the hotel is not too bad, but for the price of €60 I expected much more. This would be great if you pay half of the price, but for €60, it's a rip-off.
