We stayed here previously in August 2021 and really liked the place, location, staff etc.  This time was even better with a great room , great clean and comfortable bathroom and especially. a wonderful friendly staff . On-site restaurant dinner was good with reasonable price point . Breakfast was very good . 
Immediately off Neckar Bike Trail and has excellent inside bicycle storage . 
On our next adventure in the future we would love to stay here again

Excellent Neckar River Radweg Hotel

We stayed for two nights in September. very nice hotel, and the location is central to Eberbach. our room was large and comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the square. the restaurant, was very good, with an extensive menu.
i would recommend this hotel, and the location.

Beautiful hotel

I am forever grateful to the Hotel Karpfen.  I had an accident and broke a bone outside of Eberbach.  They helped me arrange my trip  back to the United States by finding me a person who drove me to Munich (350 km) where I had left luggage.  They negotiated a price for me. I did not have the use of one arm and was traveling with a bike.  Their kindness to me was extraordinary.  
It is a cute hotel with carpets with images of fish.  
Karpfen = carp.  The breakfast was wonderful. I was in a bad way and didn’t enjoy it as I would have without the accident.  Very clean very quiet.  I would go back any time

Lovely hotel, very kind staff, nice dining room

We spent one night here while visiting family.  This is a very beautiful, traditionally decorated hotel and restaurant.  The room was modern and comfortable.  We had dinner in the outdoor dining area, the food was excellent.  Breakfast was in the dining room, good, standard European fare. 108 Euro.

Totally charming German Decor

On our way to the Heidelberg, we spent one night in the Hotel Karpfen. We had a nice room under the roof. I loved the antique architecture and furnishing of this place that has been in the hands of the same family since generations. The atmosphere is welcoming, dinner was excellent and breakfast as well. One of the best price/service relations we came across on our three weeks tour through Germany. The hotel is in the center of the old town full of half-timbered houses. The hotel is quiet, because it is away from the main road to Heidelberg. Exploring the small town of Eberbach (literally "Boar Creek") is a pleasure - I took some great fotos. 

On my next tour to Heidelberg, I will stay in the Hotel Karpfen again - and as I have family in Heidelberg, it may be very probable that I will return.

A very beautiful hotel - Karpfen - in a very beautiful small city - Eberbach

This 3 star hotel is much nicer than the 4star across the street. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.  The room was nicely decorated but most importantly had great sheets. The breakfast was excellent n they made proper tea as well. Bicycle touring and they provided a safe place for the bikes. 

Great Sheets, Helpful Staff

Spend the night here on a 5 day bike tour.  We appreciated the friendly young woman who checked us in and got our bikes situated in the locked garage.  The locked garage was great security for our bikes and something bike tourist need to be aware of.
The hotel itself was classic, clean and stylish.  Our room was in the Fachwerk building and had large exposed wood beams running through the walls that made you realize you're in a multi century old building.  (The main hotel was built in 1804 or so and the records of the other building were lost, so the age is truly unknown.)  Bed was comfortable, bathroom with the shower was clean.  Most importantly, the room was very quiet at night.  
Breakfast buffet was good with 'soft' boiled eggs that weren't cooked to death (as seems to be an EU mandate) with enough variety of items.  
A bonus is the truly helpful staff.  Particular thanks to the young woman with the glasses that talked to my wife about our bike trip.  She came back with a booklet that had a map in it for part our next leg to Heidelberg and explained some parts to us where we had to cross over a bridge for example.  That turned out to be super helpful!  She didn't have to do that

Great Ambiance, Secure Bike Storage

We stayed in Room 216 in July when it was very warm.  There were no fans or airconditioning in the room and it was noisy with the windows open.  The tv didn't work.  The bathroom was not clean on check-in.  It had a small shower and the toiletries were sparse - only soap and shampoo and no face cloth.  The bed was not very comfortable.

We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant which was very good.

Good Location Historic Hotel

Checked in to a nice looking hotel in the Centrum of the town but the room that we were assigned was not very nice . We had made our reservation through Bett and Bike and had anticipated a nice room for the €110.00 price . We have had so many great experiences with lodging in our biking trips across Germany and Austria but this was not one of those . This was a tremendous letdown . Our windows opened directly onto a light shaft that had large compressors with fans that ran all night and made sleep difficult. The only way to diminish the sound was to close the windows in this very small room and suffer with the heat. This hotel is a great disappointment. Perhaps the rooms in the main portion of the hotel are better but  the room we were in was horrid . The secure bike storage area was fine but we will never stay here again and would not recommend to any of our friends !!
