We traveled to this part of Germany to see the towns where our grandparents were born - Schneeberg and Aue.  We chose Zum Huthaus because of the other good reviews as well as the location between the two towns.  We were so pleased!  The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and she made our stay an absolute delight.  There are two rooms, and we booked both of them.  They are large and comfortable, one with a private bath inside the room and the other outside but only for that room.  Everything was spotless.  Breakfast was a feast, and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner in the downstairs restaurant one evening.  We highly recommend Zum Huthaus!

A welcoming stay in Saxony

Small Gast Haus hotel in tiny village that shuts about 10pm in the evening. We stayed here when going to Moto GP at Sachenring - which was about a 40 minute ride to the track down some lovely country roads.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  Breakfast was superb with a great selection of fresh fruit, bread, cheese and meat.  Evening meal was also very good.
Bedroom we stayed in was not en suite but had our own bathroom across the way which was more than sufficient.
Free car parking on site, nice outside area to sit eat/drink
Not much else in the village so you need to drive to find alternative entertainment but overall great value and a great stay
