Such a great pleasure to stay at Ursula's place. What a friendly welcome we got!! House is well situated between Triberg and Hornberg, right beside the bubbling  Gutach. Clean, well appointed and a great breakfast will await you. I sincerely recommend this place!

Superfriendly Host!

If you enjoy a relaxing weekend; a rushing river outside of your room; and a good breakfast Gastehaus Ursula is your place. Gastehaus Ursula is located on the Gutach river and the sound of it coursing along can cause you to fall asleep quite quickly. The town of Hornberg is a short hike away, along the river. The castle view is worth the hike. The family Kammerer were outstanding hosts as were their employees. There was a bicyclist  who was also visiting, along with several couples. The property is pristine and the Kammerers were very nice. The location is 11 km from Triberg where the Gutach River is the highest waterfall in Germany. There is a very nice gift shop/cuckoo clock shop across the road. 30 minutes away is the Zell ceramic shop and is definitely worth a visit. I will return to Gastehaus Ursula without a doubt.

Perfect room for the weekend

We really liked this property.

Elderly couple running it who are very friendly. 

Although they only speak German it's easy to exchange thoughts with signs and gestures etc. It adds to the character and gives you a feeling of being in countryside Germany

Rooms are modern and spotless. Breakfast it ample and they really go that extra mile. For instance heating the coffee cups before bringing them to the table.

Located in a small village right next to a small river.

Would definitely stay again if we were in the area and can highly recommend it 

Outstanding

We decided to stay in Hornberg for a night on our way through Germany. This was a good place for a stop over. Restaurants were a short drive or 30 minute walk away. There is an outdoor pool about 15 minutes walk away. The guesthouse was modern and clean. Breakfast was simple but pleasant. The couple were extremely friendly and tried hard to make conversation even though they did not speak English, and we did not speak German. We got by using Google translate! I was concerned about the close proximity of a busy road when we arrived, but after a mad hour or so (it must have been rush hour), it really quietened down and was not a problem at all. In fact, all we could hear overnight was the river nearby! We had a balcony, which was pleasant, although we did have a light industrial building opposite our room. As this was a short stay, this did not bother us at all. We were made to feel almost like family, and we found it a lovely, friendly place to stay.

A good place for a stop over

Such an amazing place to spend the night after a long trip! They make it feel like comming home, the place is very very clean, the beds are amazing and the huge breakfast options gives you the energy you need for the rest of your trip. Thumbs up for the hospitality she does her job with  passion.

Hospitality the way it's supposed to be

The guesthouse owner are a kind old couple that speak Germans. 
The room is clean and cosy, there is a terrace for sitting down and enjoy tea time. 
The guesthouse is situated beside a small river and it is nice to sit at the terrace enjoying the mountain view while watching trains pass by while listening to the stream of the water. The breakfast is excellent. It is less touristy as there is no tourist spots nearby. Suitable for couple or small family who want to enjoy a moment of quiet at the beautiful black forest region.

Felt like at home

We stayed here for 3 nights and we really liked it. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the owners, an eldery couple are sooo friendly. We will certainly come back when we make another trip to the black forest.

Gastehaus Ursula was a very delightful place to stay.  The area was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and less touristy.  The town of Treiberg was only about 15 minutes away.  We ended up not even going there.  The small town of Hornberg which was just a few minutes away was very nice with some great places to eat.  We loved the outside seating. I can't say enough about Gastehaus Ursula. Our hosts were an older couple who were absolutely wonderful.  They spoke very little English and I spoke very little German, but we managed to communicate and it was actually quite fun using the little German that I have. They have a beautiful home and everything was spotless. We even had a little balcony on our second floor room. Breakfast was great, parking was no problem and we had no trouble finding the place. The price was very reasonable. Great place to use as a base while exploring the Black Forest.  Train station in Hornberg, also. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Beautiful place to stay

We stayed for four nights in a room next to the stairs.  The owner’s wife was in hospital and with the husband not speaking English and our not speaking German we had to resort to waving hands.  Luckily for us the next day there were two guests who spoke good English and translated for us.

Guests have use of a kettle and fridge in the breakfast room which is useful.  The house is very near to quite a noisy road which affects all rooms.  Waking across a pedestrian bridge over a pretty stream one can cross the road to a large souvenir shop.  Parking is immediately outside and the house is at the end of a cul de sac.  Breakfast was the usual cold meat, cheese and jam with bread rolls.  No English tea but I had taken my own teabags.  A three kilometres’ drive will take you to a pleasant town with restaurants, Tourist Information and history.

We tended to sleep with the window closed as the church bells set off at 6am.
