Very nice small town Hotel, not close to many things but a few nice restaurants in town. Rooms nice spacious, beds very comfortable. the bathrooms large , with showers. Hotel has elevator and ample parking. breakfast room is nice. it's a little different then the normal European breakfast but quite nice, and they bring to your table. there is a good variety to choose from.

This is a very nice hotel provided that the guest understands that (1) there is no staffed front desk at night, and (2) it is in a small town about 15 minutes from the airport.  

Check in at night involves retrieving a keycard and letting yourself in as there is no staffed front desk--this was easy and quick, but not sure how the guest would get assistance if they couldn't find the keycard or had questions about their room.  It's also about 15 minutes from the Munich airport--perfectly fine if you have a rental car.  Location is in a very pleasant small town with a couple restaurants open late, but I didn't see any groceries/pharmacies/etc. in town that were also open late.

Rooms themselves are large and modern.  Breakfast was also quite good.  Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again, but just be sure you're ok with the inherent limitations.

The Hotel Claro Garni is just 15 Minutes away from the airport. I booked the apartment (room 1) which is located in the basement of the hotel. The room has a modern look, a nice kitchen, a large sofa and a convenient bed

Great Airport Hotel

This hotel gets an excellent rating because it delivers everything it promises as a modest hotel near an airport, not because it is elegant or charming.

It is a new property built at the edge of a small town, right next to corn fields. It is almost directly under a flight path to the airport, so you will hear planes from 6am-11pm, but with the windows closed that was not a problem. 

The exterior is very plain, and the inside is rather austere and modern. It is very functional, though, with some nice touches not found in some more expensive hotels. The laminate flooring is comfortable to walk on. The walk-in shower was the safest we saw in Germany in 2 weeks. There are electric sockets beside the bed as well as by the desk, and reading lights on each side of the bed.

The elevator is large - 4 people with luggage will actually fit in it! There is free parking right by the door. Those two things alone are a rarity.

The bed was very comfortable; one of the best we'd had. The furniture is minimal but adequate for an overnight stay. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was not extensive but certainly adequate for the price. Fresh cooked eggs are available upon request, and the young lady in the breakfast room was very helpful. 

There is no minifridge or coffee maker in the room. You do need to have a car to get to restaurants and to the airport. It took us about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the rental car return area. 

It's a little tricky to find as 4 streets right by the hotel all appear to be named ReisenerStrasse. And the check-in desk is only staffed from 2-6pm. But if you are looking for a decent hotel at a reasonable price near the airport and are aware of the limitations of the property, you should be very satisfied.

Clean, comfortable hotel near airport

the rooms were big and the breakfast was good. we asked for some of the food to be gluten free and we had a basket full of fresh bunnies without gluten. it was very nice and considering. 
the way to the hotel is quite dark (we came at night) so it will be better to Highlight the hotel's signage.

if needed to stay near the airport it is very recommended and comfortable.

We really liked this little hotel but can't give a 5 star because it is not really near the airport, and in small village without a lot of food options. BUT, it is above 4 for sure so should be a 4.50.  (Munich airport did not appear to be surrounded by hotels like the airports are in the states though.)

This is more like we would call a B & B in the states, but appears to be new construction and purposely built to be lodging. Our room was a nice size, very clean with a great bathroom. The décor was minimal but that is okay.  The breakdast was fabulous and the desk staff was great at check out and they had a honor system fo an after hours coke, which I appreciated!  

Getting too and from the airport was pretty easy with a car and it is not too far away, so based on the wonderful rate compared to any hotels closer to the airport, we will stay here again when we go to Munich.  Just be sure to budget enough time to get to the airport in case of traffic tie ups.  A car or taxi does appear to be needed versus a shuttle as we too couldnt quite figure out how the shutte would work.

Do be sure to check your email for check in instructions as their desk has limited hours. We stayed here our last night of 14 days and I had not checked my email in days and with a near dead phone had to call and get help to check in.  It was my fault as once my phone was charged I found the email which had arrived while we were traveling.  Thank goodness my phone hung on long enough or we would have been in a world of hurt!

There is this little Italian restaurant in this small village that does not take credit cards and we spent our last Euros on an amazing authentic Italian pizza there. Try it if you have the cash handy!!

This hotel is definately recommended if you are looking for a very clean room with a nice  bath, truly fab breakfast and a reasonable rate not too far from the airport, AND if you are driving a car and don't need an airport shuttle.

Really a 4.5 Room

The hotel room is very very basic . No facilities in the room . The hotel is at the end of city ...only fields after the hotel . No market , not even a shop near the hotel . 
But , the staff is very nice very polite , the breakfast is very good  . I would have been happy if the price was less , I did not think it was worth the money .

Overpriced

We stayed there one night. They didn't make the extra bed for my toddler so we had to call them to come and make it. The owner was rude to my husband on phone while we were staying there. The room was relatively clean, but not perfect. The breakfast was good. To my opinion and from my experience it is more a motel than a hotel.  Regarding safety for kids- I wouldn't call it safe enough. Either way we didn't enjoy our stay and I do not reccomand staying there.

maybe if  it is not for a layover and you are seeing etting it is a better idea.
they say they have an airport shuttle, but then emailed me saying i needed to book it myself, and never even gave me the info or the name of the shuttle. also they said they could book a return shuttle for 20 euro and this is only 7km from the airport.
i arrived at 7pm to find no one works at the hotel then. there is a self check in, but this isnt even late! there was no one to answer questions or help. 
this was in november, so this time when i had a 20 hour layover i stayed at moxy. it is a 7euro shuttle and they work 24<7 at the desk.
at claro check out is 1030am. at moxy they asked my flight departure and offered a late check out of 1pm for free.
