After hearing only positive stories about this wonderful restaurant, we decided to give it a go ourselves. The amazing experience started only seconds after our arrival as we were enthusiastically greeted at the entrance and our car was taken back to the parking lot at the bottom of the hill without us having to bother about it (and after we finished dinner it was right there again, waiting for us). We sat in the room furthest away from the kitchen and therefore quiet-perfect for us! The dinner was refined, haute-cuisine as promised with outstanding service. We both enjoyed the truffle menus and have had enough truffle until the next season ;-) What a pleasure to come here and indulge ourselves in excellent food and outstanding service. Thank you Söl'ring-Hof!

Spectacular dining experience!

we returned to the söl'ring hof after some years with our two little girls for easterholidays. it was the perfect decision as everyone (staff and guests) were so familiar and friendly. our meeresmaisonette was perfect with a nice view to the beach and the sea. as the weather was great we enjoyed our time in the strandkorb while the girls played in the sand. outstanding breakfast in the morning!

My wife and myself stayed at the Sölring's Hof to celebrate our first year of mariage. We book a package called kulinarische Woche which included 5 nights and 3 wonderful dinners . Amazing! 
The wine card is huge but the prices are really high. Even single wine glasses are expensive. 
Nevertheless highclass hotel!!

A wonderful nicely located hotel with wonderful surrounding and first class service from start to finish.
Positive: Gourmet food, the best breakfast in the world! We never had something comparable and you can take your breakfast at any time you want, nicely decorated rooms, everything tasty designed with love & passion.
Great host!

Extraordinary Place! Best breakfast ever!

We went for a dinner to the Soerling's Hof during our summer stay in Sylt. The restaurant is part of a lovely, 5* hotel frequently visited by German celebs. As expected, the chef came out before the dinner to greet everyone, which was very nice, but you already know this is going to be an expensive experience :-) 
We have chosen the 5-Gang menu which turned out to be a very sophisticated set of dishes in a exquisite arrangement. There was a lot of different tastes in each dish, a proper gourmet delight. 
The service was overwhelming, which was the only thing that I thought was a bit too  much (other than the final bill) - one person for the water, another for bread, one for wine etc. Don't get me wrong, the service was in fact impeccable, but they just make you feel very, very special and for my liking just a bit uncomfortable at times. 
Overall, definitely recommending to connoisseurs of food and wine with deeeeep pockets.

Romantic dinner at Soerling Hof Sylt

My wife and I had a great three night stay here a couple weeks ago. So much has already been written about this place that I don't want to re-hash things you can read in other people's reviews. I'll focus on what we enjoyed most and what made it a great stay for us. 

We had room 105 which was right across the way from the restaurant. At times I would of found this annoying but here it worked. We were never disturbed nor heard any noise and in hindsight liked being able to pop into our room from breakfast or whenever out on the terrace.  

The room itself was wonderfully appointed. I really liked the included mini-bar and the fact that there was dessert and port wine (also restocked and included) in the room was nice. I love port so King's (the chef in the restaurant) thing for port worked in my favour.  The little biscuits waiting for us upon arrival were a nice touch too. 

From arrival through to departure staff were wonderful. (With one exception which I will get to later!) Check-in was fast and the staff couldn't have tried to be more helpful.  Every time we saw anyone they asked whether they could be of service and my feeling was that they genuinely meant it. The two ladies in the breakfast room ("the Breakfast fairies" as they like to call themselves) were probably the most engaged and just really were into their jobs. You rarely see this anymore with employees. Big hats-off to them for making our breakfasts, which we enjoyed thoroughly by sticking around for hours, a true joy. 

We did have one hiccup. On the second evening in the restaurant we had a waitress who must have utterly had an off day. Further, the vegetarian dishes which she requested really weren't to her liking. Our waitress wasn't happy to hear our disappointment and basically thereafter ignored us. Not very professional but I already saw at dinner our first evening that she was not the most "happy" looking person. No idea! Nevertheless, when the chef from the restaurant (Jan-Philip) that evening found out about our disapproval, he came out and without going into details remedied everything. Had he not saved the evening that night I'd be writing a somewhat different review. 

Further, on the following day when leaving I voiced my criticism to Claudia Reichelt (manager) and she was seriously concerned and made it clear to me that everything would be addressed. I am 100% comfortable that my feedback was seriously considered and I couldn't ask for more.  

So, to summarise, the hotel is great. You can find this out from the other reviews and pictures. More importantly though there are some wonderful employees at this location and they deserve the praise. Yes, you do pay for it here but you don't get just what you expect. As you can tell from my raving review, which I don't dole out lightly, it's all about the people here going above and beyond. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a couple nights in this hotel.
