Very closed to the railway station at the entrance to the Port! The rooms are clean and comfortable! Airconditioned in some areas! I do not know exactly because when I was there it was a bit cold outside.
Breakfast is incredible you can have even whiskey, pálinka, Bacardi for free with the food.
Parking is in the garden available for the guests free!

Nagyon jò kis Szálloda! Closed in the winter season!

It is a nice villa hotel from the past. It had its own pool and it was very close to Lake Balaton. 
Rooms were OK. There was also a lift inside the building. The staff was very helpful. 
You can park your car inside the garden.

Nice

This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. It’s not a resort but a nice hotel with a pool, hot tub and sauna. The pool has bubble feature but is not heated. The hot tub has a water feature and is heated, just not hot enough. The front desk has to be asked to turn on the sauna, but when it’s on it is really good and hot enough. 
The rooms are large and clean and have a mini fridge. 
The breakfast is very good with a good selection of hot and cold items. They will make made to order egged if you ask. Their coffee is really bad. That includes the espresso drinks as well. 
They do have free WiFi in the hotel that is acceptable for the area. 
The prices are increasing and the hotel does need some upgrading. 

Nice hotel

Great selection of studio, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom rooms. Very well located 200m from the bay and great value. Ideal for families or as a budget retreat.

The breakfast buffet is traditional, fresh and well laid out. The outdoor pool is clean, well maintained and big enough.

Certainly the location is perfect for access to the bay and yacht club.

High quality, well positioned hotel

We travelled back to Balatonfoldvar in August this year after a lengthy absence. As children and adults we visited almost annually. Though there had been many changes so much remained as for the past 40 to 50 years.  My daughter commented that you have to get Hungary to love it and she does.

The Hungarians have never embraced the concept of customer service, but the staff of the Hotel Del Porto are some of the exceptions.  Lead by the very experienced Mr Tamas Koncz the staff of this hotel performed their tasks in a friendly and professional manner.

The rooms and the environs of the hotel were always clean. Breakfast was always well presented, the food fresh and the buffet replenished when necessary. Reception and bar staff always helpful and friendly. This in a week when temperatures where around 39 to 40 degrees.

The hotel gives value for money, a courteous and professional staff and an enjoyable experience. Thank you for a great stay Hotel Del Porto.

Exemplary service

Resort is a big (too big!) definition for this hotel.
It is small, family handled, 1980's forniture,... but not a resort!
Rooms have different sizes, from very small to very big. Same for bathroom. 
I was there in early spring and rooms was cold and the warmer not a help. 
Manager gave me a electric warmer and in the end was ok.
Beds are directly from soviet period and quite unconfortable.
General cleaning quite good.
Breakfast is a compromise between east Europe and rest of the world but, except for the most horrible cofee in my life (every day so...), the rest is almost good.
Hotel has an inside parking and a outdoor pool.
Railroad stop is a 2 minute walking from the hotel and the marina is at 3 minutes (ferry to all Balaton Lake village)
WiFi is weak and doesn't reach all rooms
