All aspects of the service was excellent.
The atmosphere, the hotel and the restaurant are a splendid combination to spend one fantastic night at Platán. 
The menu was such that we did even enjoy it. No doubt the double Michelin star speaks for itself. There’s no exaggeration to say that I feel instigated to be a regular guest, we’ll surely be back!

Service: fantastic! Very service minded staff - even at 0400AM when you need to go to the airport.  
Cuisine: outstanding!! Try the breaded pork sirloin 🤤
Room: high standard! Nothing to complain about. 

I am already looking forward to visit platan and Tata again.

Best hotel I been to in years!

Very good position ! Great view with the castel. Very clean. Nice rooms. Very friendly staff. The hotel is very good . But! The big value is the restaurant . Fantastic breakfast , fantastic staff.   And the dinner , the best I had for a longtime . I will be back . Shure!

Fantastic restaurant , vey good hotel

fantastic small hotel with great spa and one of the best breakfasts you will come across. The service from the lady assisting with the breakfast was incredible, very attentive and super friendly, a credit to the hotel

excellent hotel and amazing service

We have just enjoyed a really wonderful lunch, sitting under the plane tree after which the bistro is named, at the side of the lake at Tata. I had Vietnamese beef soup & my husband had pasta with spring vegetables & prawns in a butter sauce. Both beautifully cooked, superb flavour. Service perfect, setting gorgeous, price high for Hungary but the cooking is top class.

Lovely place for 1st 2021 review

We stayed here while celebrating the wedding of some friend sat the nearby Hilltop Hotel. This is a cute BnB with a beautiful view of the castle and a nice quiet ambiance. The best part though, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this review, is the breakfast in the cellar. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in years. From the fresh fruits and squeezed orange juice to the local pork and cheeses. 

OMG Breakfast

Very clean and spacious rooms and if you choose room 1 you will also get a small kitchenette. The breakfast is delicious especially the freshly squeezed orange juice but they have a menu so if what you find doesn’t work they will make you something else. Very friendly staff and the fact that it is just next to the lake and a restaurant can only be considered a plus.

Really nice place

This is a great option for someone who wishes to spend a night in the area. Very good service and rooms with fine restaurant right outside. All of that is just two steps from the lake, very close to the castle and accessible to anything else in the town. I would highly recommend staying in Platan.

A wonderful relaxed place to stay in the Tata Surroundings

Very nice small hotel near the lake. Newly renovated rooms, free Wifi, good breakfast and nice staff. The restaurant in the ajacent building serves exellent food at resonable prices. We stayed for three nights, and I would like to come back.

Platan Hotel, Tata

The hotel adjoins the historic abbey, at the heart of the tourist district, and is a 1 minute walk to the sightseeing path around the lake.  Breakfast is absolutely amazing with the best of every fresh food anyone could want in a gorgeous historic atmosphere.  We had a basement room, with a tiny window into a grate in the sidewalk above.  It was late Sept, the central AC system had been turned off, and the room was hot and stuffy, with no way to get air.  The hotel manager gave us a portable fan, which helped.  Our travelling companions had much better rooms upstairs with views.  All the rooms were really clean and well appointed.  The beds were quite comfortable.
