I had booked here going by the pics on the website but the location is awful, unclean sorrounded by drain water and small scale industries and the bad stench made me walk away without checking in. would not recommend to anyone.

AWFUL LOCATION

Exceptionally stylish rooms on 1st and 2nd floor of a larger building, and good service, at a very decent price. However the two lanes on the front and back of the hotel are taken up with car and motorcycle repair and body work shops, which means loud and persistent banging on metal during the day (approx. between 8 am and 8 pm). So not a place for a quiet rest during the day, but it is quiet at night. Breakfast options are limited but served in the room. There is an excellent restaurant 'Food Zone' just next door. 

Beautiful rooms and good staff attention, well priced - but set in midst of several car and motor bike repair workshops.

Apple Residency is located near the train tracks in a somewhat isolated area away from downtown.  There is no attraction to walking around the neighbourhood.  There is a restaurant right beside it that was OK.

Our room was clean and basic.  It had a hot shower, and the air conditioning and fan worked well.  Breakfast was ordered the night before, and brought to your room -- and was acceptable and on time (which is unusual in India).  The bathroom is a wet room.  There is no safe in the room.  Trains can be heard in the room, but not too frequently nor too long.  The bed was comfortable, though short.  Bottled water was provided in the room.

Even though this hotel is basic, it was really well organized and very efficiently run.  This impressed us because we hardly encountered it in many other hotels (even the higher end ones).  

The main reasons to come here are:  The Patola house where you can see the incredible double-ikat weaving technique.  Also, the Rani Ki Vav stepwell which is the most ornate, well-maintained stepwell in India.

Efficiently Run

There aren’t many reasons for tourists to stop in Patan other than the Rani Ki Vav. The other is this hotel.

Our room was nicely decorated, the WIFI was great, and there was reliable hot water. It was also spotlessly clean. In addition we found the staff to be very helpful. 

The Apple Residency would be a good choice in a big city, but in a town like Patan, it’s a lifesaver.

Best in Town

This hotel, walking distance from the town centre, was a pleasant surprise compared with the condition of the majority of Indian hotels.
Like many new hotels, it’s built into the second and third floor of a completed building complex.
It’s really very well maintained, good service and spotlessly clean and a 24hr limited kitchen is available.
The rooms are remarkable large with functional furniture with extras in the room not usually found in a "budget" hotel.
The WiFi is somewhat intermittent otherwise everything that should work worked!
The young manager Mr Ashish Patel speaks very good English and was kind and helpful.

Ps. Patan is worth a visit not just for the Ranki Vav but for a walk around the Merchants market and for the special Patola and Mashru weaving techniques.

A pleasant surprise

Horrible surroundings in the street with automobile repair shops, lot of bad smell and dusting. The charges are heavily over-priced. This room has to be reasonably priced at Rs. 850 per night and not 1400. Quality of the tea served in the morning was too bad to taste. The Towels supplied in the room were dirty. There is no parking place for guests' car. it has to be parked in the street. As my car was blocked by other cars parked without knowledge of the Property manager, I could not start my journey on 
scheduled time next day In the morning. We vacated the hotel in one day only cutting 
short my stay here and transferred to other hotel. I would never visit this hotel again.

Not worth staying. Poor congested locality.

Best staying in resonable  rate. Very clean rooms, hospitality  was very good. Nice decorative rooms. Their restaurant serves very delicious  veg. Food, spl. Kathiyawadi food. On the way to jaisalmer  excellent stoppage. 

Tour

I stayed in Apple Residency during my visit to Patan in November 2018. This place is excellently maintained, The rooms are spacious, well maintained and very clean . The bathrooms are spic and span. The staff are very polite and the service is excellent. I was  travelling solo and the manager, Mr. Ashish Patel was very helpful and cooperative in giving me good suggestions in planning my trip.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit Patan or nearby areas.
