You want to wakeup in the morning, open your door and find a green garden in front of you? Spend the night in Yogyakarta at Rumah Palagan. The style of this hotel is like "rumah", means home. Breakfast was ok. Room must be improve in cleanliness, especially under the bed and bathroom.

Green Living at Rumah Palagan Yogyakarta

My plan was to take a rest form my routines. I was here for 3 days with my daughter. I All i need for spending money for a hotel room is in here. good room, view, pool, food, and services but you paid less.

Simple and Cheap

Nice place to stay, quite, nice design, clean, good swimming pool and breakfast, really friendly staffs. Easy to find. the garden view nice and refreshing, more back room more quite. big space for parking. I love the garden and swimming pool.

hommy ambience in quite place of Yogja

The staffs were so helpful, friendly, and very responsive to the customer. We booked the room (deluxe room) in short notice, and arrived at the hotel almost midnight, but the receptionist was patiently waiting for us in the terrace to welcome us. They also provided us an iron when we needed in the morning. 

The restaurant staffs were also very friendly. The food were good enough and quite varies. 

The Hotel had vintage design. It was traditional javanese outlook, from the front till the back, and also the room. Room view was great, it was a beautiful garden view or a pool view. 

The facilities we got while staying there were quite standards, like 2 bottles of mineral water, coffee/tea (self service), breakfast for two, sandals, towels, shampoo, and soap. Television and refrigerator were available in room.

Notes that needed serious attention from the hotel management are room cleanliness. In some parts, the room looked dirty and dusty, such as: under the bed, under shoes rack, near windows, and above TV table. The bathroom was okay, but could be cleaner.

Overall, the staffs were so helpful, but because the hotel was quite old, it needed more attention to the cleanliness and continuous maintenance.

Old-fashioned hotel to enjoy Jogja

Went there with 2 boys and my husband. The guest house needs renovation. Everything there was old. The room was dirty and dusty. Many signs of leaking on the roof and wall. We do have bugs stayed with us overnight. The extra bed was only a mattras which looks like fluffy but when you lay down on the bed.. it would drown you to the floor. The breakfast was far from decent... thank you to gojek so we can have proper breakfast that day. 
With the room cost, i would prefer to stay in a minimalist budgeted hotel yet a new building.
