I stayed in one of the over water cabins which are perfect to listen to the waves and watch sunsets on your own terrace. The cabins are simple but there is everything you need, even an AC. Don't get confused if the resort's website isn't working, they can provide all the information by email. They can arrange all the transfers from Sorong airport to make the arrival smooth.

This is a perfect place to have amazing diving vacations. The best dive sites in Central Raja Ampat are only 10-15 minutes boat ride away. Gabi the dive guide is very professional and takes you to see amazing underwater life. With my 500+ dive experience my top 5 list for the best dive sites is: Five Rocks, Chicken reef (Kri Island), Blue Magic, Sardine reef and Mioskon. The resort is a great place for bird watchers as well and they can arrange bird guides and tours.

All the staff are always happy and polite. Esra the customer relations officer and translator takes great care of everyone. He is always happy to help you with everything. Because you can't buy anything from the resort, for example candies or beverages, Esra will arrange you anything you need from local shops. Be aware that all alcohol is prohibited on the property.

The resort serves absolutely amazing halal food. It is simple and delicious. The breakfast is around 7 am, the lunch at noon and the dinner at 7 pm. 

I strongly recommend this place for everyone who wants to spend a quiet and super relaxed vacation and just enjoy the beauty of this lush island.

Perfect little gem 

If you need something fancy, move along. This is a more rustic option but if you're into that, you'll love it. Great value for money. Think of this more like 'glamping' and you'll probably be pleased. It's much more like a hotel than a traditional Indo homestay, but not 'resort' in the way Westerns think of the word. We got the over-water bungalows and just loved them. We also really enjoyed the manager, Nando! He was super helpful and an excellent dive guide! Probably our favorite part of Hamu Eco was the long jetty going all the way to an amazing reef. We spent hours snorkeling or just looking down in the clear water. Gorgeous at night! The rooms are simple but well-supplied and clean. I loved the rough wood and seeing the ocean glint through the floor boards! Loved the porch and hammock! Food is provided at set times in the rustic dining room and we always thought it was delicious! All local dishes. Meals are included in the room price. The diving was incredible!!! 
Nando organized a short trip with some local people to see birds of paradise! It's very expensive to be honest, but an amazing & once in a lifetime opportunity. Do try to bargain beforehand with the driver for the car price if you can.  Sunset from the end of the jetty was lovely! 
No electricity during the day meant that some parts of the afternoon were quite warm, but we didn't mind. I slept with the windows open and the sea breeze coming in - delightful! 

I definitely recommend the over-water bungalows - the setting is much nicer than the land rooms. 

I do highly recommend that Hamu Eco cleans up their land, and the entrance to the jetty - there is a lot of trash, it's messy, you have to walk through the prep areas and it really doesn't make a good impression. Once you are on the jetty it's amazing! But when we first arrived I thought, "Oh no..what is this place?"  Also a way to access the sand would be nice. (there isn't much of a beach, but still).  
Unfortunately there is a popular local beach nearby and since it was the school holidays sometimes it was a bit noisy. Probably it's not too bad most of the year. Also there is another jetty with bungalows nearby so you don't get unobstructed views, just FYI (but its still very nice!)

simple & pleasant budget option - we loved it! Amazing house reef!

To us the resort is a magical place where we felt so relax with dives in the morning and lazing around at noon watching sunset before dinners during our stay the past 6 days. 

Klif our dive guide is knowledgeable and great guide. Santo the manager has full of suggestions and knowledge about Raja Ampat.  While the room is basic but it was clean and you manage your expectations when the resort has clearly given all the information, such as no power during the day (You don't need one), and Wi-Fi (you get your own, solved). 

Meals during lunch and dinner were delicious local flavour and buffet style. You only going to complain if you are fussy and expecting five stars culinary experiences, well you are not and no one promises you otherwise either. During our 6 days stay we did not have repeat of same dishes. 

Tours are expensive but it is not because the resort want to rip you off but that's the prices everywhere else in Raja Ampat. The resort was kind enough to arrange sharing with other guests when we want to do tours during one of our days there and it was a fantastic tour. 

I'd come back again to get away it all from hectic city life once awhile for diving trips. Yes it is expensive but we knew that and they did not rip us off with multiple requests for additional items we don't need. 

Love the sunset time at the jetty each night! Mosquitos were not a problem either as we prepared ourselves in advanced with some spray and close door before dawn (yes, aircon at night to 7am)

Away from it all dive trip

Accommodation is very clean, and everything is sufficient. Food is really good (but all local Indonesian) and with free flow of water, coffee and tea anytime of the day. 

Staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay a better one. 

Dive guides Klief & Like were super nice, fun and very knowledgeable as well and always put safety above everything else. Our group of 6 divers had the best time of our life diving with Hamueco around Raja Ampat.

Simple but sufficient. Lovely experience

Stayed 3 nights. Enjoyed every minute of it. Met the owners Hasnah and Giri who are so friendly and will advise you the best place for diving, snorkelling etc. Villa is clean and has their own attached bathroom. 3 excellent meals a day and they include an afternoon snack. They gave a free shore dive and even gave me a late check out with lunch. Really appreciate that. You can witness sunrise and sunset from this place. Can do your own snorkelling from their jetty. Love the rolling waves below the villa. So relaxing. Dive master Nando and Randi knows their job very well. They even shared some underwater photography with us for free. Their office staff Anisa reply your enquiries  very fast. Good reception of Telkomsel 4G data which allows you to have fast internet coverage. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Very good place to stay for any Raja Ampat activities

Staying 5 days 4 nights. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food taste is good, they provide 3 meals everyday. The owner is very nice, we always have a good chit chat after dinner. They are very passionate, they are divers and have a lot of experience exploring indonesia underwater world. 
The room is clean, staying in villa room, it have openroof bathroom, so you can feel taking shower under the tree 🤣. The resort have their own jetty, a perfect place to enjoy sunset and sunrise view.

We planned the trip to Raja Ampat for a year. We were only 4 guests at the place, because our trip happened when CODIV 19 took a head start. Lots of guest cancelled, plus March is the end of the season anyway. The hotel manager Nando was very helpful, answered all the questions and took care of all of our needs from buying sim card, so we can communicate with families back home to organizing diving trips, to booking ferry tickets on the way back. It is rustic, but very clean. Simple and fresh food, it was more variety, then I expected. The water pressure was good, so you can clean your diving equipment well. I loved sitting on the terrace of your cottage and watch fish swimming by. Amazing reef just at the end of the jetty. You can snorkel right from there. In my opinion cottages  on the jetty are better choice to stay, then houses in the back of the property. As recommendation, I would clean the beach around the resort, you see plastic and other human foot print and it would take maybe 2-3 hours to properly clean it. If you on the jetty, you dont see it, but at the back of the resort it makes a bad impression. We enjoyed  trip to the Blue river a lot. Fan island are overrated in my opinion. Its expensive , long and when you get there, you just go up top and look at them, take picture, put it on Insta. The favorite dive sites were Blue Magic and Chicken reef. Overall amazing nature, best diving, friendly and kind people. I would go back in a heart beat.

Peaceful resort, amazing diving

‏Hospitality is not satisfactory. Local management was not organized and unprofessional . Restaurant food quality is terrible and very dirty. I suggest that use your food and yourself provide that.
Tour prices are not reasonable. If you want to take tour it’s better to go to WASAI harbor. I write this review so they may improve their services and the guest choose wisely.

Hospitality is not satisfactory

The hotel and tours are expensive so I guess we should be receiving somethings complimentary for the expensive price tag, but I'm wrong. The resort manager jumps at every oppurtunity to charge us more.

We wanted to go snorkelling and he said they can provide us with snorkelling masks, flippers and life jacket. And then we we checked out, we were surprised that it wasn't free and he didn't tell us beforehand. We could have decided between ourselves if we could accomodate the cost or not.

My vacation was shorter compared to my friends so I had to check out earlier. I said I needed transportation to go to the airport, and the hotel manager said he could take us there. I had a motorbike as transportation. The next day when my friend checked out, he also needed transportation to the harbor and he got a car ride. He was surprised to see that both our airport rides were chargeable and the resort manager didn't inform us beforehand. We could have rented regular motorbike ride outside the resort which was cheaper.

Food was included in the accomodation, so when I checked out early, my friend decided that he invite his local friend for dinner. It should be free too because I booked a 3 nights stay but I left 1 night early, so I am entitled to 3 dinners. Our invited guest just ate the dinner that was supposed to be mine. Again, we were surprised, that the resort manager included our guest's dinner in our bill. We argued that we paid for it so he wrote it off. But it's annoying none the less.

For the hotel itself, there were a lot of mosquitoes biting us. The bathroom and showers were too basic and dirty. It's painful to walk barefoot because of all the rocks. The garbage can is close to the showers and I smelled used diapers as I showered. They didn't provide soaps or shampoos. The food is traditional indonesian food. Sometimes you get delicious food and sometimes it's just average.

For the expensive bill, I expected something nicer. And our dishonest, profit-centered resort manager made it worse by adding so much hidden charges to our bill. We had lots of problems footing the bill for this so-so resort. Please avoid this resort!
