We absolutely loved staying at An Creagan. The owners are amazing, the house is lovely. The view is spectacular when out on the patio. The bed was comfy and cozy. We were amazing at how well constructed - the wind was howling outside and inside was quiet and calm. Very sound-proof rooms. The breakfast was delicious! The art pieces / decor in the breakfast room are lovely. They are opening more rooms in a beautifully constructed adjacent building. These will have a wonderful views from each room. Overall, the island is lovely. And we would highly recommend this spot which is up the hill slightly and therefore with an even more lovely view.

Wonderful stay at the edge of town with a wonderful view  from the patio!

Gorgeous room , plenty of room from me and my friend who explored the island on foot . Wonderful views from each of the many windows. Fabulous ensuite, really comfy bed and great location. Would highly recommend. Thank you Nollaig and Ciaran. 

Seaviews galore

Stayed here with my adult daughter. Lovely bright clean & cosy room. With a fabulous view of the Atlantic coast. Fresh white towels & a great shower. We had a beautiful breakfast of scrambled eggs with smashed avocado. Served by Emily who was so friendly. Central location. We will be back next year &d definitely recommend it. Michele & Aisha

Cosy B&B

42 yeads after last setting foot on the island and having always promised my wife I would take her, we had a beautiful 2 night stay at An Creagan on Inis Oirr. Ciaran &  Nollaig are wonderful hosts and they just let you get on with enjoying your stay without any fuss yet are there for anything you need.  Their little daughters complement the family ambience. Really enjoyed my return to this little piece of heaven on earth.

Return to Paradise

We were made to feel like extended family. The location is spot on with majestic , sweeping undistribed view on top. The property is modern, clean and boasts a top breakfast. Would fully recommend 👍 we will be back

The warmest of welcomes

We really enjoyed our two night stay in An Creagan B&B. The room we had (with ensuite) was clean, modern and spacious with great views of the sea - see pic taken from the room! The bed was really comfortable and you were guaranteed that the room was warm at all times (important given the changeable September weather on the island). Our hosts were very welcoming and served a top class breakfast. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again!

Great family run B&B with incredible views!

A nice clean place to stay! Our room over looked the water...when the sun went down I watched the moon shimmer off the water!
   The inn keeper was very informative on the ferry situation and one of the other people staying that needed to get to the airport, or miss the only flight out, the inn keeper took him right then and there, Yes, the inn keeper was rather quiet...still was friendly enough and helpful,
    Breakfast was adequate and being included made this a win win!
     Would we stay here again? You bet!

Clean clean clean

As I was about to get on the plane for my trip, I received an email from the owners stating that they canceled all of their bookings for October, as they were “burnt out” after the tourist season.  I had to cancel the reservation on my own, which initially cost me 120 euro (they were good enough to waive it after I complained, which is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1).  There was no attempt to help me find alternative accommodation, nor any other attempt to compensate for the inconvenience apart from waiving the cancellation fee.  Not expecting to be able to find any vacancies with only a couple weeks’ notice, I had to skip the Aran Islands (much to my disappointment) and try to make other plans.

Last-minute cancellation

This property has a few good points and I will start with these, the rooms are clean, the bed comfortable the shower is powerful but what this property lacks and what really let it down for me was the welcome or lack of a nice welcome, typically when I have checked into a B&B the welcome is warm and friendly and straight away someone wants to give you hints and tips about the location, where to eat, what to see etc and sometimes I have been offered tea, a scone or some biscuits upon arrival. This sadly was not the case here, I almost felt like I had invited myself to stay and I wasn't really welcome. On a number of sites there is talk of a shuttle to and from the pier, I phoned as I got on the ferry to go to the island as was told to find them with google maps (wifi is slow and glitchy on the island so this was not helpful advise and not the fabulous shuttle service advertised) It is noted on the lonely planet that this property is 2 minutes of a walk from the beach and again this is not true, it is a good ten minutes of a walk. Like I said this is a clean property but it lacks the warmth you might expect from a B&B
