Very welcoming, great food and tea/coffee! A nice respite before or after climbing to the cairn! I visited as part of a coach tour, and they accommodated us very well. Nice clean facilities, very conveniently located (or at least as convenient as a place can be in the heart of County Meath!)

Lovely wayside rest

We tent camped for 3 days and despite being one of only 2 tents (very quiet) and poor weather my kids loved it and said they’ve definitely go back! They had a whole camping field to themselves! Camping is in a large field (adjacent to main centre where the mobile campers/glamping is) field is serviced by 3 modern clean showers and toilets which were great. Owners sarah and niall were super, we had their mobile numbers from the off in case we needed them....and we did......Sarah came to my rescue with a range of antihistamine treatments at 10pm at night when my 10yr old was stung by a wasp in our tent, now thats customer service!!! Martin (nialls dad, he was brought up in old thatched cottage, do visit it) keeps the camping field well maintained, great for playing football! Cafe food is lovely, little gift shop good and staff are so friendly. No electricity supply for tents but that was of no consequence as we used campers kitchen (gas hobs- bring lighter) and kids played in the adjacent games room (charged phones/played air hockey/pool only €1) so I could hear their giggles whilst I sipped my coffee. All in all lovely couple of days. Thank you

Relaxing camping experience, would return

Started our visit (I was with a small group) with coffee and scones in the cafe (a converted outhouse - part of the old farm). 
We were fortunate to have the services of a great local guide, Malachy. He was more than pleased to communicate to us his knowledge of the area - in both prehistory and recent centuries. 
The climb to see the cairns on Carnbane East well worth the small effort that it takes, and especially so if the weather is good. But even in bad weather, the opportunity to see art that was created by our ancestors over 5000 years, should not be missed. 
The visit was finished off by lunch at the Centre. 
Great service provided with a smile and a readiness to help.
All highly recommended.

Visit to see Loughcrew megaliths and surrounding landscapes

We spent a night at the campsite, we were the first campers on 2018 so we had the field to ourselves. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They gave us some books and information on the Megalithic sites - worth a visit! The shower was warm, just needed a little more room in them so I ended up changing in the neighbouring toilets as I didn't want to get my clothes damp. Facilities were clean and the campsite was beautiful. A great spot!

Little Gem

Great wee campsite, friendly staff, lovely wee thatched cottages with cafe, toilets showers and gift shop. right beside the megalithic site which is great for a wee walk (up a very steep hill) we walked it on a really sunny day and it was perfect, views for miles.
if you have a family its 3km to loughcrew estate which has a lovely wee cafe and garden with with slides etc to keep ths kids amused. lovely walk in and around the gardens for a fee.

Perfect wee campsite

Exactly what's needed from a campsite. Toilets, showers and some grass. 

Was very impressed I got a reduction when I turned up a day later than my booking and expected to pay more. :-)

Staff were very friendly and welcoming if Ireland tough mudder stays in the same place I'll be back if I come back for tough mudder :)

Tough Mudder Camping

We arrived as a couple looking for a break from everything for a few days , we stayed in one of the 6 glamping pods on site. The pods were perfect temperature in July surprisingly but there was a lovely little stove inside should it have gotten cold at night . The bed was super comfy , we loved the pod , it was really cute and lit up with fairly lights inside at night if you wished . There is a firepit adjoining each glamping pod , wood/lighters etc all provided and a grill for on top should you wish to bbq. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless and we witnessed someone go check and clean them every other hour. There was a cafe onsite , a playground for children and an area for camper vans to set up , along with a large field to pitch tents . The nearest town was approx 10 mins away , we went and got some bits there and some bags of ice which we filled into a large lined bin and used as a mini fridge to keep everything cool (we stayed in July and temp was around 24 degrees so we needed that ) the host was really welcoming and friendly and the site offered complete relaxation away from everything for us for 3 days with some great little walks around the site  - would recommend the glamping pods for sure !! We enjoyed our stay and would return :)

Total garbage cancelled my booking saying I had booked as a group booking total nonsense as I booked a single booking as I have the receipt staff very rude on the phone a guy called Niall would not recommend
