I was here with my husband for our first time trip to Europe. We were staying in a six dorm room. During out first night there, I received a terrible phone call that my dad was dying. I say this because the staff were amazing. They were able to provide us access to community room as they were completely booked up and I didn't want to disturb the other people in my room. I was also a mess, in providing me that access we were able to handle all of the business of the phone calls and sobbing along with book an flight home right away. They also helped us find the bus to the airport in the morning. They made what was a horrible emotional experience into something bearable and feeling manageable. I am so thankful we were staying here and not anywhere else. This is hands down somewhere i will come back to.

They were fabulous

First of all this isn’t a hostel anymore it’s a hotel. Fine by me, we’d booked a private room anyway!

We booked via gala hotels and although I’d emailed to confirm booking with the hotel months ago, the hotel has since changed owners and they couldn’t find my booking. Luckily I had these emails and my confirmation which proved I’d already paid and the lovely lady on reception got it sorted for me. She was very helpful and reassuring when the panic started kicking in! Even managed to shuffle rooms about and got us checked in early! Brilliant customer service!

If you’re staying in Dublin and want to be in the heart of the action you won’t get a better location than this. Everything is within a short walk. 

Room and hotel was spotless, could tell they’ve got all new carpets, bathroom etc. We even got lucky and got a little balcony over looking temple bar! 

Would 100% stay here again and recommend. 



Location is amazing!

What a lovely surprise this was a lot berrer than some hotels we have stayed in wonderful staff.the room was luxurious comfy beds and super bathroom with toiletries room had Nespresso coffee machine tea coffee water biscuits it's in Temple bar so you expect noise if you want quiet bring earplugs  for us it was a wonderful stay cannot recommend enough and wil stay again in a heartbeat thank you Barnacles 

Fantastic stay

We had a great stay here. We booked the private room and had our own washroom and towels. The room and washroom were very clean. We loved how central the location is. Was very noisy in Temple Bar at night so definitely bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Great location!

In the accommodation we had a the whole dorm  to our self for a birthday weekend.

The location was on the main party road so if you want a good night sleep do not book here.

Breakfast was included and we had a separate toilet and shower. 

All the bars shops food is within seconds walk 

Birthday weekend 

Smack bang right in the middle of Dublin's Temple Bar area this cheap hostel is a great place to grab some sleep before heading back out. I've stayed here many times & it's simple basic accommodation that is priced extremely well considering the central location. If you're looking for luxury & tranquility then look further afield. For a cheap as chips, no nonsense room, friendly staff, all at a very fair price, give this a go. Beware though, you are on the main strip. It can be fairly loud until late and cleanup can start early in the mornings.

Great Cheap Option

Stayed here for a Stag weekend. Location was Ideal for temple bar. Bathroom and under the beds weren’t the cleanest but overall it was a comfortable stay. Would stay here again as the location is ideal!

Ideal Location 

Lovely staff and easily the best value in Temple Bar. Room was warm clean and the bed was very comfy.Oceans of hot water too!
 If you're in Dublin for a concert and just looking somewhere to lay your head then look no further but do it soon as it has been bought over and scheduled to close for conversion into a hotel.

Great value for money

You can’t get a better location right in the heart of the temple bar district. Our accomodation here was booked months in advance yet they failed let our travel agent know they were undergoing major renovations to transform from a hostel to a more boutique hotel. We did not get the facilities we booked and paid for. The communal kitchen was no longer operating or the communal lounge.As we arrived carpet was being lifted at the front entrance and there was a plumbing leak somewhere. We were lucky to be on the third floor as the smell of sewerage was permanent on the bottom floors, you had to cover your nose each time you used the stairs between floors.Other people staying their were all commenting on the smell as well. Our room was clean. Breakfast consisted of picking up a brown paper bag from reception that contained a muffin, a juice and a piece of fruit. The fruit looked like they recycle the fruit others don’t eat as the apple was soft and marked and the muffin....it was covered in mould. We showed reception and they were apologetic. We would have liked a partial refund of some sort as we certainly didn’t get the facilities we booked.

Location second to none ,the hostel itself disappointing

Despite the name, this hotel is a hotel and not a hostel.
I felt a little mislead as a solo traveler was looking for hostel environment.
Hotel is obviously going through a transition between the two. Common room for example resembled a construction site. 

Likes - bed was very comfy. Best bed in Europe. Coffee machine in room.

Dislikes- misleading name, 
no breakfast, 
room is TINY, ok for 1 but would be too small for a couple.
Renovations occurring- new carpet, wet paint etc. potentially disrupting.

Location-
Noisy street below due to all the bars.
Personally I would consider carefully if you want to be right in the centre of Temple Bar. Tourist central!! Suggest staying just across the river where you can easily walk to pub area. Get out of tourist spot and meet the locals.
