My weekend at Cashelmara Lodge was wonderful - just what I'd hoped for. The house is kept immaculately but retains a homely, welcoming feel, and with a stunning view over a sandy bay at the front (and a balcony from which to appreciate it!), and the city at your back the location was perfect for me. 
There was a lovely spread for breakfast: tea, coffee and juices with brown bread and toast, alongside an array of cereals, fruit, cheeses, yoghurts, meat selection...etc! My room to the front was bright, quiet and comfortable, and I found the owners friendly, obliging and interested in their guests - and so was not surprised to hear from Christina that she regularly hosts guests who have been returning to her for years ! Recommended.

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Cashelmara Lodge for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived until we left we were made to feel very welcome. Both Christina and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. (Thank you so much for help with our sat nav!) Nothing was a bother. Our room was absolutely prefect. Beautifully furnished large room with really comfy bed.  All furnishings and fittings to a very high standard. To top it off we had access to a balcony with beautiful sea view. Breakfast was delicious with choice of cereals, fruit juices, continental or Irish breakfast with tea or coffee, toast and wheaten bread. No one could leave here hungry!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Galway weekend

We hadn't planned on staying the night in Galway and thankfully Christina was able to oblige us with a fantastic room at short notice. The location is fabulous with an amazing balcony we were able to sit out on and enjoy the nice weather that is here very seldom! I would most definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galway. The house was very quiet with no disruptions. The host (Christina) helped with such questions as places to visit and restaurants to eat. I will be back again.

Amazing stay!!!

Christina and her husband could not have given us a warmer welcome.  As soon as we had put the bags up in our room, Christina invited us down for a cup of tea and biscuits, something we have not experienced before. Her husband later set us right on how to best use the one night that we had to explore this lovely town.  Our room provided a lovely view out to the bay.

A Great location from which to see Galway

Booked here direct as our last destination on a wonderful trip around Southern Ireland staying in some wonderful bed and breakfast/hotels unfortunately we were very disappointed.
We had booked 2 rooms with king and super king beds. The rooms were adequate and comfortable beds but the ensuite shower room in super king room was extremely small.
We were told on arrival that it was continental breakfast which at €100 per night was expensive considering some of the wonderful places we had stayed in with fabulous breakfasts. 
The breakfast was very poor with very little choice and we were not offered the option of cooked breakfast. We found the propriety very sullen and abrupt at times and the final straw when checking out to be told she only accepted cash and we had to go and find a cash point.
When we returned to our rooms the previous afternoon there had been no room service with the beds left unmade. The excuse being that she wasn’t expecting us back until late and we arrive at 17.30 to get changed ready to go out for a meal.
The only plus side was the view and we had an excellent meal at the nearby golf course.
We will definitely not be returning!!!
