We spent one wonderful evening in this unique bed and breakfast in the heart of Freshford during the easter break. We were given a very warm welcome by Priscilla our hostess who brought us in for tea / coffee delicious cakes and biscuits before we settled into our room. We were not expecting that!!! The rooms are quirky and a little old fashioned however this just adds to the uniqueness of this wonderful guest house. Bed linen and towels absolutely top dollar, and the room itself was spotless. When we returned back to the guesthouse that evening Priscilla ensured the electric blanket was plugged in and the heating on in the room on full -  the hospitality shown to us was just second to none. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with home made soda bread, fresh fruit salad and of course the full Irish Breakfast available to us to enjoy. This guesthouse cannot be faulted in any way and will really give any traveller to the Kilkenny area a real sense of what typical Irish hospitality looks like. We will definitely be back, and next time Ill make sure we get the soda bread recipe.....!!!!!

Irish hospitality at its best!!

I arrived at this lovely elegant House :The Lady owner was charming. It was a dream home with lovely elegant furniture, and the bedroom was so nice and quiet. Big double bed and a warm electric blanket, with T V and wash basin and seperat Bathroom.

The breakfast in the Beautiful ANTRIUM was outstanding so much food and high class food. The best,, She also gave me afternoon tea in her private lounge.

Good parking in front of her home.  Lovely garden and two sweet friendly dogs. It was a lovely stay, Will be back again...She was TERRIFIC LADY.Travellers, dont miss this house. and it was very good price..

Pricilla, made my stay a beautiful One

We had a very nice stay here. Very homely. The breakfasts were lovely. We ate it in the sunroom. The host made us feel very welcome 👍. Our room had a TV and an en suite. The place is far out so you'd need a car but that did not take anything away from our trip. Will be back. 

Kilkenny

The hostess,  Priscilla, is lovely, her attitude is great, generosity and quality of breakfast unquestionable, and you can tell that she has been a hard worker all her life. But, is time to stop sharing this home with guests until a major refurbishment has taken place. Its unfair to uninformed guests who rely on the hosts integrity and common sense to provide a pleasant overnight experience. 

Time to refurbish

All of our beds were cold and damp! There were electric blankets in the beds but the beds must not have had anyone sleeping in them for months as they were still damp when we went to bed hours later!! In fact the top covering was not even dried out by the morning! Very worn towels in ensuite. 
The radiators were on but only for a short while before we arrived as the rooms were so cold! Radiators not on for long in the morning either. 
One of the rooms we stayed in does not appear in ads. House needs to be completely updated! Dogs in house. 
We did receive tea on arrival.
