This B&B is exceptional. 
Irene and her family are lovely hosts who could not be more helpful. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom has everything you could need and a lovely hot shower, and everything is spotlessly clean. The home-cooked breakfast is fantastic, with all the traditional options and so much more. 
We stayed while walking the Beara Way and had a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Exceptional B&B

We rate Irene’s B&B top of all The Beara Peninsula we experienced. Room is perfect and breakfast top of our trip. 
Fresh mixed fruit,cheeses,scones ,breads and all super fresh with a choice of a big breakfast and sandwiches to go.
Irene is charming and more than accommodating  as she doesn’t hesitate to race  back and forth to take us up to the local pubs and restaurants.
Highly recommend!

Excellent Top Choice in the Area!

We were walking the Beara Way, and stayed two nights at this B&B.  We had a double room with it's own separate bathroom.  Both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable.  The B&B has a superb view of the beach and bay at Allihies.  Our host, Irene, really helped us out with taxi pick-ups and baggage transfers, and supplied us with a good packed lunch and superb breakfasts - special mention for the brown soda, and the breakfast scones - which were both delicious.

A wonderful place and a wonderful stay.

The view from our room was amazing. The room was very clean and well equipped. Best of all Irene couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed the 15-20 mins walk to O’Neills but Irene was happy to shuttle folk there that didn’t fancy the walk. This is one of the best places we have stayed in Ireland and we hope to return in the future.

The best place to stay in our favourite 0lace in Ireland

This B&B is one of the two best that my family and I have stayed in Ireland over the past 10 years. We have returned there 7-8 times because of the clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms, the great view and location near the town of Allihies, and the gracious hospitality of the owner, Irene. Her breakfast spreads are legendary and provide enough variety and sustenance for most of the day! The rates are more than reasonable considering the quality and value provided.

A bit of heaven in Beara

The description 'a warm welcome' is so apt and Irene is a wonderful and friendly host.   The most amazing view from our room and really high quality bed linen and pillows - we had an amazing sleep here.   Having returned late at night it was such a welcome treat to be able to make a cup of tea (biscuits provided in the bedroom also).   Now the breakfast - the breakfast of champions for sure!   Irene asked us the previous evening prior to going out to fill in the breakfast choice menu which we did.   The breakfast room was bright and cheery and a wonderful array of fresh fruits, granolas, yoghurts etc. along with a variety of toppings to choose from whilst we waited on our cooked breakfast.   How anyone can have everything cooked to perfection at one time is still beyond me!!   Gorgeous and tasty sausages, rashers (bacon) pudding etc. we will DEFINITELY return!
Thank you Irene for a really wonderful stay - it was like staying at your friends house instead of a regular B&B if that makes sense!


A really wonderful homely stay with a fantastic host!

We stayed for one night at this fabulous B&B. Irene is such a lovely hostess. It’s the cleanest place we’ve  ever stayed. The room was so comfortable and the view was amazing. The breakfast was outstanding. Looking forward to a return visit. It was also great value.

Highly recommend Irene's,just home from an amazing bank holiday weekend it is immaculately clean ,quiet and peaceful,the breakfast is beautiful,every need catered for .rooms are clean ,comfortable lovely power shower!

Horse riding holiday

We stayed at the Beach View for two nights at the beginning of August, my wife and I. We selected this B&B based on the previous reviews and its location to the Dursey cable car, the fact that Ballydonegan beach was very close by was an added bonus!

On arrival Irene soon has us orientated and we then set out to explore the area, a lovely few hours were spent on the beach and we watched the sunset over the Skelligs from the viewpoint overlooking the bay.

The room was very well presented and although compact, the en-suite was more than capable of handling our needs. A sound sleep was had and the morning's breakfast would put a lot of hotels to shame. 

A great selection of the usual fayre was on offer, but, but... the fry...of which I have never had the likes of before in a B&B...the plate...it overfloweth... and all was cooked to perfection..num num...it certainly set us up for the day.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Irene's B&B and if we are ever on the Beara Peninsula I will most certainly be knocking on the Beach View's door again...great value for money and a powerful breakfast.

A powerful breakfast...

After a long day of hiking, we arrived to a warm welcome by Irene. She couldn’t have been kinder, and was only too happy to do anything to make us comfortable. At supper time, she drove us into town for dinner and picked us up when we were finished. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The bathroom was quite nice with an easy to operate shower. Breakfast was like nothing I’ve seen before. The buffet had everything we could possibly think of, and then there were the cooked breakfasts we had ordered the night before, which were also just delicious. Overall, a perfect place to stay in Allihies.
