Very clean and simple accommodation. Ideal for our family’s needs.  Staff could not do enough for you.   Continental breakfast was excellent   Plenty of car parking.   Wi Fi was free but a bit slow.   Location was perfect for us.   Lovely country roads to walk on nearby

I'm not one to normally give a very bad review but I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere that's so creepy, old fashioned and dirty. As you see from the title, at least the bedding was clean. That was the only thing that was clean. The hotel looked like it was from the 70's and not in a good way. When we entered our room, there was still rubbish left over from the previous customers like empty wrappers and even contact lens cases. There was an avocado bathroom suite, full on baby sick green coloured sink, bath, toilet and shower, very outdated. The shower kept going hot then cold whenever it felt like it. I found it difficult to get to sleep because I kept thinking Jack Nicholson from The Shining would be axing down my door at night. But on a serious note, this hotel needs to up its game, renovate and thoroughly clean their rooms and then they might start getting better reviews.

At least the bedding was clean?

Couldn't have the time to describe in detail how bad this place is.. nightmare... no heating no tv not even a glass filthy dirty freezing I'd avoid at all costs worst idea ever I'm mortified bringing my mam there when she had to use towels as blankets and her jacket as a pillow.. extra were requested but none available...

Unbelievable in a bad way

Oh dear, where do I start? We needed a place to stay near Shannon as my husband was competing in a bike race on the Sunday. Found this place on booking.com and usually I do my homework but this was all a bit last minute.Read the TripAdvisor reviews after I'd booked and thought awk it'll be grand sure for one night. Stayed for about one and a half hours! Ceilings look like they're about to fall down damp patches everywhere.Brown and red swirly 1970s carpets smelling not the best. No remote for the TV but I had a stained piece of paper with the WiFi details, Rentokil mousetrap outside our room. See photos. Only one curtain on the window? Floor was sticky and mould in the shower. Payment was on arrival and I have since taken this up with Booking.com. Luckily after a few calls and thanks to a fantastic lady in Bunratty Manor who was fully booked but didn't want to see us stuck, we managed to get a room in Briar Lodge about a mile away. 
Also, there did not seem to be any view of Bunratty.

This place smells dark and dirty maggots seen on rear entrance floor we chose to ignore reviews and well regretted it to our cost a terrible mistake booking .COM need to loose

Over looking scrap yard how  delightfull

Booked this place as it looked decent enough from pictures online, was reasonably priced and local to Bunratty. Very deceiving. Took a long time for us to find the bnb in the middle of nowhere. First impression poor as overgrown with weeds, broken panes of glass. Once inside we saw it was very outdated. Insisted on payment upfront-  very very insistent on that. Bedrooms were shockingly bad. Smelly, dirty, unwashed sheets/towels, broken bed, no light in toilet, half used soap/shower gels, awful!!!  Didn’t feel safe as lock on door was inadequate. Had to stay as we’d paid upfront and had no where else to go.  Breakfast was raw, literally. Milk was rationed too. Asked the “chef” to cook our food more and he couldn’t understand English. He was dressed in filthy casual clothing and my glimpse of the kitchen wasn’t positive. Other staff around playing their native music and dressed poorly. 

 I can’t understand how this place is running and is Bord Fáilte approved.
