Arrived here with hope that it would be as good our agriturismo accommodation the previous night. We were not disappointed. In fact in many ways it was much better. The location is a little difficult to find, but once found we were rewarded with a beautifully kept farmhouse and environs as well as warm friendly and welcoming hosts. The room was large and as good as any 5 star hotel and to top it off Maria did our washing as part of the service! 
This is a warm friendly family sharing their working farm. It was so good we decided to stay again on our return journey when we enjoyed a repeat of our previous experience. I unhesitatingly recommend Agriturismo Da Luca.

A thorough delight!

We stayed a single night in a family room on our way through Italy. Excellent beds, delicious breakfast and a pizzeria in walking distance. Outstanding value for money. The owners only speak Italian which did not cause the slightest inconvenience. 

Excellent stop-over

Agriturismo Da Luca, which is designed to be like a family owned B&B, has charm and character. It is not that easy to find it as there are no indications at the entrance of the alley. But once you get there be sure that you can experience a real good time; you can sleep soundly but also get those services that you will expect in a high category hotel as rooms and bathrooms are thought to welcome the guests in a warm countryside atmosphere without losing the comfort of a modern life. You always have hot water (although pressure in the shower could be improved) and an amazing underfloor heating for a great thermal comfort so much needed in that area. 
Breakfast is proposing mostly traditional Italian food, but you can also get, eggs, yogurt and muesli with fresh milk. You also have at your disposal a small kitchen to warm up things or boil an extra egg. Fresh fruit is available during the day as the possibility of having a cup of tea with biscuits. 
Owners are very hospitable and always there for you to accomplish your needs. If you are then passionate about cattle farming you will get a bonus, as that is the farm main activity!!
5 km from Piacenza, in the small village of Calendasco, Agriturismo Da Luca is the place to be if you want to get back to nature, or simply for a romantic vacation or if you are in the surrounding to work while experiencing some of the most refined culinary traditions of Emilia Romagna region, which are still unknown to most tourists.
