This place is the equivalent of a beach bum hangout, Italian style!   I'd be surprised if one can get any closer to the water on the Amalfi Coast at a comparable price.  The balcony view was amazing, and actually, not much different than the view from the bed itself.  

Swimming and sunbathing were great!!

The bed was comfortable.  Yes, the room is small.  Yes, the shower is small, and it takes a couple of minutes for the water to get hot.  So what??

Claudio and his family were very nice, and great hosts.

A general comment:  It's a little difficult getting around on the Amalfi Coast, as the bus is crowded and infrequent, and you DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE around there, unless you simply love stress.   The best way to get between towns is the ferry, with great views.   The bus ride into Amalfi to catch the ferry appears unavoidable, unless you want to walk it....it's a couple of miles, not too bad.

Not for everyone, perhaps, but we loved it here!

We spent our last night on the Amalfi coast here and it was the perfect tranquil ending to what had been an activity packed trip. After a little trouble finding the correct bus from Amalfi town (Sorrento, low route) we arrive at this idyllic bed and breakfast, which is built into the side of a cliff and is 20 meters away from the nearest bus stop.

To get from the road to the room we went down a stone staircase, through an archway of greenery and Lemon trees. The room was fresh and clean and the sea view from the spacious balcony was one of the best we have ever experienced. A couple of reviews have criticised the shower, however maybe this has been addressed because in our experience it was a normal size, the water was warm and it didn’t cost anything to use. 

It was a little cloudy on the day we were there so we didn’t use the sunbathing area and beach bar that was apart of the B&B. This space was right on the edge and looked over the sea below and obviously would have been fantastic on a warmer day.

Claudio and his family went above and beyond in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. We hadn’t organised a transfer back to the airport and had an early flight the next day, but Claudio and his son couldn’t do enough for us to arrange a solution, which was a big weight off our mind. This helped us fully enjoy our final meal in Italy at the family run restaurant just across the road. The food here was just as amazing as the view overlooking the sea.

It is a place we wish we could have spent more then one night at and is somewhere that we will definitely go back to in the future.

Bellissimo!

Really unique experience since it is a small family run B & B. We were looking for a quiet place and this was it. 70 steps to the rooms, and 125 steps to the water. They are on the bus line and it is easy to get around if you don't have a car. We also walked to the local beach and it was crowded, but the water was warm. We never heard the other people staying at the hotel and the beds were pretty comfortable. WiFi is a bit slow and works better in their restaurant. The rooms are basic, and the shower is really tiny (but that is Europe). We had a balcony overlooking the sea and could enjoy the views from the little table and chairs. We spend 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Great price. Awesome staff, they were very accommodating, and the food is delicious! To stay on the Amalfi coast they offer a great price but this is not a luxury resort, just true B & B with Italian hospitality!

The shower was tiny, but not a deal breaker. A bit isolated in its location if you want more to do.

True Italian Hospitality

Very surprised at some reviews, I fail to see how this place is anything above 2 stars. The most expensive hotel we stayed in out of 7 on our Italian trip and by far the worst. Views are stunning (but everywhere there has stunning views) apart from that “zero good points”. Shower is so small and broken that we couldn’t use it, when on toilet your feet are in the shower! It’s tiny! Lots of steps to get to your room. Hard to find the hotel and the road is dangerous, parking is hazardous. Breakfast average at best. Food in restaurant is lovely. Access to the sea is hazardous/dangerous and the shower after is not free it costs 50c so didn’t bother with either. Lots more steps to sea level. If they want to continue at this level then the price needs to drop at least 40euros a night. Glad we only stayed one night or we would have complained.

Very tired hotel, lots of steps, over priced.

Da Claudio was one of three B&Bs we stayed at whilst in Italy. As the most expensive of the three it should have been the B&B with the most amenities etc. It was not. 

Firstly, the positives. The view beautiful and Claudio's family are indeed very hospitable. The room was clean, the sheets fresh and the beds comfortable. 

Sadly, this is where a long list of negatives begins. 

The WIFI did not extend to the room, this is a shame in the 21st century. When we did go to the WIFI 'cafe' area, we could not sit at the table because the chairs were very dirty. Both other B&Bs had full wifi coverage throughout. 

The remote control for the air conditioning was filthy and we cleaned it ourselves, no biggie. 

Breakfast was quite a small offering, with one croissant and 1.5 ham and cheese sandwiches each. This was coupled with a coffee that tasted more like dirty water than coffee. A small breakfast is not necessarily a bad thing, but compared to the other B&Bs we stayed at it was a pathetic effort. (One gave us so much homemade food we didn't eat again until dinner, and the other prepared us omelettes and fresh homemade cakes.)

The solarium is not luxurious, but private, and does the job. Many of the sun loungers are broken and Claudio kept peeping over the steps to see what we were up to. Disconcerting, not relaxing.  

The smell around the restaurant was putrid, this may be temporary due to some sewage work, still, off putting to say the least. 

There was a mini fridge offered at a charge of €5 per day. A little expensive given the fact we had fridges at no extra cost in the other (cheaper) bed and breakfasts. 

The rooms do not come with any water. Da Claudio is the only place in Italy where we experienced this. 

The piece de resistance however was the shower. Infrequently at the desired temperature, the water always dribbled out of the shower head and was a sad sight. We mainly washed in the sink, not good enough for €100 per night.

Of the fruit hanging over the stairs was dripping mould onto the steps), we weren't greeted on arrival and no arrivederci when we left. Claudio also stored our passports between the glasses by the kitchen, this was bizarre and probably not the safest space for important documents. 
 
The 'poor' rating is due to the lack of basic amenities and lack of basic cleanliness all over the B&B. Were it not for the view, location and parking this review may have been a 'terrible'. 

This was a great shame because it is unpleasant to leave a review such as this. However, the low quality of our stay demanded this, especially given the other reviews on here, which are totally inconsistent with our experience.

Who could rate this any more?

This is my first of many bad reviews I plan to give this horrible place.
FILTHY, UNSAFE AND WE REPORTED THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES. I PLAN TO GET EVERY CENT BACK- JUST ON PRINCIPLE! 
We Checked in— and checked out as soon as our driver could come and get us. So we were there for 2 1/2 hours too long!!!
1. It’s not safe! 
2. Shame on these horrible people who own it for charging 260.00 a night for a horrific environment.
3. FILTHY-
Horrible, Horrible! False advertising all the way! 
4. The Restaurant EUROCONA RISTOBAR they also own - we were so disgusted at the state of so called “room” we didn’t and couldn’t eat. I can only imagine how gross the kitchen would be. 
The son Giuseppe, first blamed the weather, then blamed us, then he went back to being unprepared due to the weather.  
I really became upset when he started yelling at me. 
This place is not safe, honestly I can’t imagine the health code violations they are breaking. 
I plan to write a bad review everyday until they send me a full refund.
