I have come to Hotel San Francisco for years and every single time it just keeps getting better. This is a family run Hotel run by its owners who look at every detail to provide an outstanding experience. The quality of the breakfast is unheard of ( I wonder what kind of a peasant complains that taking things away is not allowed, of course not). 
The pool area is so beautiful, well kept and inviting, surrounded by flowers and palm trees, just sitting there with a cool drink is an absolute joy. Rooms perfectly cleaned every day while you‘re at breakfast. Great tips from the family about the most beautiful spots to see and things to do. The staff is super friendly, helpful, caring and generous. But beware: YOU need to be right for this place. It‘s perfect for those who have respect for peace, quiet, beauty and recharging one’s batteries. It’s a hotel for families with manners. And individualists who like to think in a picturesque environment. Perfect for active people who like to do their jogging, riding the bike, taking a boat or parasailing. With the service and quality provided by this family and the appreciation of the hotel’s repeat guests - coming back is always a joy. Would give 6 stars but there are only 5 to give… Thank you 🙏

When you think it can‘t get better - IT DOES

My friends and I throughly enjoyed our trip and found our stay at Hotel San Francisco to be the cherry on top! The staff were so accommodating and kind, the breakfast was amazing, the pool was fanstastic and the rooms were perfect for three people. Just a short walk from the beach and every other attraction in Lignano Pineta.  
 
I highly recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself wanting to explore outside of Venice. About an hours drive from the airport. 

Lignano Excellence!

This is the perfect hotel and place for those seeking to recharge their batteries. The hotel is run by Italian/Swiss owners who do an excellent, professional, honest job in providing great hospitality. The breakfast is huge and offers way more than one could try, all fresh, all prepared in small, fresh portions. Prosecco included!  The hotel offers free bikes as well as sun loungers and umbrella at the 12 km beach are included. Very nice pool at the hotel. Beautifully kept flowers. This is truly an oasis for both those who want to relax as well as those liking an active sportive vacation. Looking forward to my next stay at the San Francisco! Great great hotel with excellent service 
and professional staff

Great stay at Hotel San Francisco. The staff was very kind and helpful, hotel was very  nice and clean all the time, parking place with parking service included, amazing swimming pool, great location. We enjoyed very tasty breakfast. We really enjoyed our vacation in Hotel San Francisco and definitely will recommend to our friends.Thank you very much

Amazing stay in Hotel San Francisco

What a lovely place. Reception and pool area are very clean and very well maintained. There is also at the back of the hotel a very practical kids play ground with artificial grass, trampoline, hamac, slide, garden tree that our son loved to go. The pool  is very well designed with a Jacuzzi/kid pool 50cm height. The room are a little bit more dated and would need a little bit of upgrade but they are comfortable. The owners are lovely and very helpful. Location is very good, 10min walking to a fantastic beach and close by to lots of lovely restaurant. Definitely a palce to recommend.

Excellent stay, highly recommended

This is excellent choice for weekend escape, to make body batteries recharged. Location is perfect. Kind and helpful staff tried to do their best to make us feel wellcome. Room was a little bit obsolete and needs some update, but it was nice and clean. Breakfasts were delicious and there were variety of food. We were just missing fresh orange juice. 
The pool is the best thing at this hotel. It is located in front of hotel and it is surrounded with bestutiful shrubs and flowers. Very well maintained and very clean. We loved it!

Italian style and fantastic pool

Even though hotel seems to be family oriented - it’s not. Staff was passive aggressive to us, giving us the looks all the time and we didn’t feel welcome or relaxed. There is a children’s playground but you can’t use it when you need it, it’s closed from 1-4 pm and also after 8pm. There is a pool but again - you can use it only on hotels schedule. 
Breakfast was great but they don’t allow you to take a single apple for the kid. 
Staff kicked out our friends (who actually wanted to stay at this hotel but there were no available rooms so they booked another hotel nearby) from the pool even though they were paying for the drinks and only their kid used the pool. Really rude. 
Our impression is that hotel was built to be a family place but the reality is they prefer only quiet guests preferably without the kids. 
If you are traveling with a family choose another place to stay.
