This farmhouse and winery is somewhat of a hidden gem in Montalcino. The property has a rich history and has remained with the same family for generations. The history is wonderfully maintained throughout with spacious and upgraded guest rooms - comfort and charm so well balanced. The rooms also overlook the vineyards which makes it a sight for sore eyes! Located a 7 min drive from Montalcino centre makes it extremely convenient for exploration. 

Recommend the wine tasting - it’s a small winery but delivers a punch on the wines produced. 

We were so well taken care of, with personal touches and warm service highlighting our stay. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at this boutique farmhouse and winery

What a refreshing experience! We had just come from a very busy Rome full of tourists, noise, traffic, heat, just to arrive at this wonderful, quiet and idyllic place in the middle of nature with the sound of birds. We stayed just for lunch, because we were on our way to Siena, and we felt so welcomed and so relieved to breathe fresh air, taste incredible wine and eat such simple and delicious food. It was perfect! We were in five people, and we all loved it. The staff is great and even the cat — who kept us company during all lunch, just laying down there by our sides — even the cat is friendly (long live Tanino).

Idyllic place, exquisitely decorated and with wonderful food

We just returned from a beautiful 4 night stay. The Villa is truly beautiful and in a perfect location, close to Montalcino and set within a vineyard. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind - thank you to Mini (spelling??) who helped book dinners for us and a arranged a cooking class for me, and Francesca (I hope I have this name right), who gave me a perfect pasta cooking lesson. The cooking lesson was perfect and casual in their beautiful kitchen - I felt like I got a true Italian pasta making experience instead of what other places may offer as a more touristy cooking experience. Highly recommend doing a cooking class at the villa!!

The rooms are comfortable (we stayed in Tirso which was spacious, especially the shower), the breakfast buffet was lovely, dinner at the villa was delicious, the pool area is dreamy. We received a complimentary wine tasting of their wines, which was a really fun experience. It’s the perfect place to spend a romantic get away!! Highly recommended! Thank you to the wonderful staff - we appreciate your warm hospitality!

A perfect stay at a beautiful villa

We spent one night at the Villa and loved it.  We aren’t wine drinkers but enjoyed all of the information about the vineyards at the wine tasting.  The staff was very friendly and made you feel like a VIP.  The restaurant was very good.  It’s a different menu every night but between my husband and myself we liked every dish.  I appreciated having some vegetables since that isn’t common on a lot of menus here.  A morning walk in the vineyards was a treat.

Five months later I am still dreaming of Villa Le Prata and thinking about how soon I will be able to return.  Villa Le Prata is a smalll boutique hotel with only 8 rooms, but they are each different from one another.  We stayed 3 nights, it was very warm outside in July but the air conditioning worked great.  Giada was incredibly helpful in booking us dinner at the hotel 2 nights and in town another night.  She also helped us organize a bike tour in Montalcino.  Our 3 nights at Villa Le Prata were the highlight of our 2.5 week honeymoon in Italy. The food was delicious and the wine was even better.  Highly recommend Villa Le Prata to anyone visiting Montalcino.  

An absolute dream!

I have no words to describe the joy of staying here. My fiancé and I decided to do a very private exchange of vows in the hotel and spend our first days as a married couple here – what a beautiful and private setting to do so! The hotel was so kind and everyone was attentive and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. And to be clear, since we exchanged vows very privately (my husband + me + photographer), we did not give them a heads up, we just grabbed a secluded, intimate place to do it. The hotel will made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. 

The wine, olive oil and honey were incredible – we ordered so much of it to bring home! 

The rooms are gorgeous – Italian villa charm, but modernized so that we could enjoy all the comforts of a luxury villa. The villa is also eco-friendly and you could see that across the hotel. The olive oil toiletries were fabulous. 

What a lovely stay – we honestly wish we could have spent more time there. 

Exquisite from start to finish - cannot recommend highly enough

Everything about our stay for three nights was wonderful.  From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by their friendly staff.  Our room was lovely and so comfortable.…Fantastici.  
We had a view of the beautiful countryside.   We dined two of our three evenings at the Inn who has an extremely talented chef.  He was great!  We were able to watch the chef preparing dinner through the large glass window which we enjoyed.  The countryside is gorgeous and all around you.  The Villa Le Prata wine is phenomenal and not to be missed. 
The overall staff was amazing!  They made sure you had what you needed and they were all extremely kind and helpful.  Big Thank You to the entire staff.  You can not go wrong staying here.  It’s just beautiful.

Exceeded our Expectations

Incredibly unique stay. Very personable and beautiful. The staff was amazing and the villa itself was gorgeous. We booked through a wonderful travel advisor, tripsbynic. She connected us to this place and we couldn't recommend everyone enough! 

Tuscany Villa vacation 

Our stay in this villa was the highlight of our trip.  I can't recommend it highly enough.   The room, the food, the service, everything was perfect.  It's one of the best places we have ever stayed (and we travel a lot). We will definitely return.

Perfect

We had an unbelievable time at Villa Le Prata. The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeous. Incredible vineyard views, spectacular pool, great ambience. We rented e-bikes to tour the area - it was such a fun way to see the town of Montalcino and visit nearby wineries. The breakfast was fantastic. Lunch and dinner reasonably priced and delicious. Loved the wine tasting. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful boutique hotel in the area with outstanding staff and hospitality.
