Great place for relaxation and enjoying the most genuine italian food. Beautiful rooms, very quiet surroundings. Owner is so nice and helpful. 

Pool available with a really nice view. Not too far if you want to go to the beach instead. 

The place that we had booked cancelled on us but this place was suggested as an alternative. We were so lucky as it was beautiful , relaxing and welcoming.  Gigliola is a very good cook and everything was produced on the farm and the dishes were local styles and plentiful. We only stayed one night as we were encouraged route to Parmalat but would loved to have stayed longer. Pool was fantastic.

Amazing place. 

We arrived at Saudon and did not know anything about the Lunigiana, a mountainous region dissected by the Magra river, which covers an area which runs from the Apennines  and Apuan Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. The area is incredibly beautiful. You then arrive at the end of a road on a hill to a beautiful old house (completely restored, stone by stone, by its owners) surrounded by a luscious garden full of plants and flowers: figs, quinces, capers, grapes, beans, plums, tomatoes,, herbs... you name it and it grows there. After that you will hear the happy humming of the charming Gigliola, a lovely woman full of warmth who you will never see sit down. She is always stirring in something or picking something else. Jean-Claude is the man behind the vineyard and the very good wine he produces. 
Everything is decorated with love and attention. We loved our beautiful room and its curtains. You will see small touches of Gigliola's quirky character everywhere and it really made us happy being there.
Do eat here too! You will have a delicious meal with everything made from scratch (probably grown in the garden too) which was so good, we almost wanted to stay longer in order to eat there again!
In the morning you will wake up looking over the clouds in the valley underneath you, with the church's bells ringing, just like in a fairytale.
There was a glowworm and there were fireflies (which means the air is at its purest), we even saw a wild boar and an owl.
Are already looking forward coming back :)

This place is just awesome in so many ways!  We planned to stay for 1-2 nights but ended up staying for 5 nights, that tells you something - and I want to go there again. The house is very charming, the view is great, the place is easy and relaxed, a lot of great places to sit down and relax, great pool and pool-area, the owners and very nice and friendly people, very good food and and and....  The only thing people should take notice of is that the owners and the people working there do not really speak english so just don´t have any expectations on that - however me talking to them in english and them replying in italian somehow worked out :) 
Oh, and the wi-fi did not reach my room, had to go downstairs or to the pool area to use the wi-fi.

Heaven on earth

We stayed here for one night on our way from chianti to Portofino. We should have stayed longer, the staff was friendly and accomidating even though there was a small language barrier. The food was incredible, everything was made and grown on the agriturismo from the red and white wine at dinner to the fruit tart in the morning. Aside from the mind blowing food and the overwhelming kindness the farms location was just unbelievable. It was straight out of a fairy tale, to say the mountains and small towns within them were beautiful would be an understatement. Absolutely loved it, if you haven't been then you should go, if you have then you know that you will be going again.
