Half board was the perfect deal. Excellent breakfast, very good dinner buffet with great choices of food. Friendly and very attentive staff. Old but clean and nice rooms with a nice balcony. ultimately a very good experience

Lovely room large balcony great location and the meals were lovely 4 courses every night.
The beer was served in half pint glasses not plastic cups what some people have said and 
the food was well presented and thanks to all the staff

Coach Trip with National Holidays

We stayed at this hotel last week. The hotel is run by two brothers who could not do enough for their guests. Our room was spotless and we had a lovely balcony from which to sit and enjoy the lovely scenery. The location was quiet and peaceful and it was handy for the town. The sandy beach was just down the road and the shops too. We liked absolutely everything about this hotel. Food was well presented and the staff very friendly.

A Wonderful Experience

Very fine breakfasts, superb dinners, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great location very close to the town center. Comfortable and spacious room, all equiped with a balcony and a safe free of charge. Wifi internet available only in the lobby, as well as TV channels in the room only in Italian, however a very nice experience.

I stayed here with a coach holiday it was a nice hotel bedroom was basic but spotlessly clean with a large balcony but no tea and coffee facilities in the room so take your travelling kettle with you also the hairdryer wasn’t very good as for the food it was ok you got to remember that you are in Italy the staff were lovely and it was in good location,

Lovely hotel

Travelled with National Holidays on a Tuscany trip. Stayed for 7 days. Rooms are fairly basic but very clean and comfortable. Rooms had a free safe, air con and balconies. Continental breakfast was fine, a bit samey but then continental breakfasts always are. Four course evening meals. Sometimes very good, sometimes average, but on the whole a lot of nutritious food. Usually soup or huge bowl of pasta. Always lovely. Followed by salad buffet also good. Main course and a small dessert too! Diet required now! (Some people on the tour had a moan about the food, but this is Italy not Blackpool, so of course the food would not be the same as  at home, where's the fun  in that!?) The area around the hotel is really nice, very tidy and affluent feeling. Very green with lots of pine trees and a stunning view of the Apuan Alps. Town is only 5 mins walk were there are restaurants and a co-op. Beach is lovely and clean. Great stay,thanks!

Nice hotel. Lovely location.

Travelled to this hotel on 15th October 2017 as visiting the Tuscany coast including Cinque Terre.  The meal on the first night was awful as cold and very greasy but from past experience this is sometimes the case as they are not sure when we are arriving.  The breakfasts are very basic but all you need and much the same as other Italian hotels I have stayed in.  Evening meals were plated up and the seconde dishes of pasta were always very good but the main meal was often disappointing.  For some reason everything was floating in oil which was not very appetising.  However having said this we found the hotel pleasant and very clean having change of towels every day.  The staff were friendly especially the boys and girls serving on the tables and in the free bar in the evening.  I have read other reviews and can honestly say we didn't see a plastic glass all the time we were there!  Measures were generous and we were always served quickly.  We did sit outside on the cane furniture but it was a bit cold in the evenings at this time of year.  This hotel is a good place to base yourself as very near Pisa and Lucca.  We caught the local bus on our free day (although the manager did offer us use of the hotel bikes) and visited Viareggio which was lovely with some lovely fish restaurants on the front near the marina and plenty of shops with a market on a Thursday.  We would return to this hotel if in the area but the food did leave a lot to be desired which was a shame as we enjoyed our visit.

Coach Trip with Edwards

This is a small hotel close to the main attractions of the lovely town of Marina di Pietrasanta, a 10 min walk to the beach and pier. The hotel is clean and most of the staff are pleasant. However, the food is disgusting to the point of not fit for consumption. I opted to eat in town after a nasty stomach upset to protect my health. Most of my fellow holidaymakers also suffered from terrible diarrhoea after eating the food from the second day onwards. Dinner leftovers were recycled for at least three nights e.g. Fish on day one turned into pasta sauce for day two and then soup for day 3. Breakfast consisted of stale off cuts of bread, boiled eggs which were rotten inside, sour milk and spoiled yoghurt. Main courses for dinner which was pork and/or fish every night were swimming in grease, undercooked and inedible.  We were handed back unwashed cutlery to use when our forks were lifted from the table and had to point out we didn't know which fork had been used by any one of 4 people. A bowl of breadcrumbs was served as an accompaniment to dinner. 'Pasta in pink sauce' and 'chickpea soup' is an example of the food as described by the hotels own menu. It defies belief that Italians cannot produce wonderful pasta dishes but this hotel manages it! There are serious food safety issues at this hotel which is a shame as otherwise it's a perfectly adequate base for exploring this lovely part of Italy but the quality and safety of their food is Tuscany's shame.
