Just checked out of this perfect small hotel in Ponza after 6 glorious days. An old farmhouse converted to a hotel in the 1950s. Sympathetically restored and decorated in understated and elegant style. My room was piccolo but perfectly formed (with a small balcony) and incredibly clean. Excellent air conditioning. Friendly and professional staff. I was provided a great welcome and information chat by Adelina at the front desk on arrival after pick up from the port in their gorgeous small (tiny!) bus. Cannot recommend this hotel more highly!

Just perfect!

A small family run hotel with tasteful decor. Helpful receptionists and very nice breakfast & coffee.  Room had a terrace with views over the countryside. A Comfy bed, and quiet room. There was a restaurant in the hotel but we didn’t eat there.

Truly enjoyed our brief vacation in paradise!
We arrived around midday and mentioned we would like to rest since we had been travelling since 4 am. We didnt even need to ask, the director immediately took over and changed our room to a different floor because she feared our originally allocated one would have been noisy due to the setting up of an event in the restaurant and we would have not been able to rest. Her quick thinking was a blessing since we managed to get our much needed sleep! The room was clean and comfortable and had lovely views of the island.
The kitchen brigade and restaurant team were also truly professional and greeted us every morning. We also remembered a few faces from the previous time we visited the restaurant for dinner (2 years ago) and they too remembered us.
We look forward to going back next year. 

Friendly and professional staff who care about their guests!

We didnt reside in the hotel but we came here for dinner with friends! We received a very warm welcome and the service was pristine. The staff were very knowledgable about the meal and suggested the different dishes that we might enjoy. 
The fish was delightful and fresh and the dessert ( tiramisu ) was to die for! I will definitely return on my next trip to Ponza!

Stunning dinner at Gamberi e Caperi

EXCELLENT! My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away from Rome during our honeymoon. Adelina is very sweet and helpful - especially with our boat rental and local tips.  Executive Chef Luigi made fresh pastries every morning…different each morning, as well as a made-to-order breakfast of whatever else your heart desires.  11/10!  We will absolutely be coming back after a great weekend.  Also, I have heard good things of their restaurant - by Luigi, however, we already made dinner plans.  Every night we came back, it was always sold-out/packed.

Honeymoon Success!

We (a family of three) spent two nights (first week of July) at Piccolo Hotel Luisa. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful room with tons of history and a fantastic view on the island-village, to the attention to detail and comfort. The staff was extremely attentive and ready to satisfy all our requests. The restaurant served a delicious Italian breakfast while dinner was also great with melt-in-the-mouth fish dishes. We learned that the careful and friendly hospitality at Piccolo Hotel Luisa is a tradition that has been handed down for three generations and we enjoyed listening to the stories about the days when Signora Luisa was running the place. The new generation is doing honour to the family tradition. We hope to be back again soon and, until then, we keep telling friends about the place.  

A blend of history, comfort and hospitality

Having read the reviews before our trip we had high expectations on PHL - from location to comfort to food. The owners made sure to exceed our expectations by accommodating all our (sensible) requests from arranging a crib and monitoring the napping baby (we headed out for just 20 minutes, I swear) to treating us to tasty appetizers and handsomely extending check-out. The hotel was kept spotless and the location is ideal. Car access/parking possible. Luisa, grand-daughter to the eponymous Luisa, will tell you all the dos and don’ts of Ponza. We hope to be back soon!

Clean and quaint family-run gem conveniently located close (but not too close) to the hustle and bustle

Great little hotel within walking distance from the port & marina. Nice, helpful and English-speaking staff, good rooms and some outside areas (that includes a vintage motor bike, among other things). Thoughtful breakfast that varies from day to day. Some rooms have great views, others none - check the details, if that's important to you.

Great little hotel

Charming from the moment you walk in, the staff and ambiance is perfect. The food is THE BEST we had in Italy. Couple that with great portions and good prices and you have my favorite restaurant in Italy. 

Best Dinner We Had in Italy

This is a beautiful hotel and I would greatly advise staying here for its convenient location, fair price and accommodating staff.  My girlfriend and I had to move around our dates and the manager was quick to accommodate us with very short notice.  If you book a room here you can rest easy and enjoy the beautiful Island of Ponza with peace of mind that your stay will be taken care of!
