Perfect way to travel if you want to see the Italian countryside. The terminal is very clean and so are the trains making for a pleasant journey. As for masking I would say as of today 5/8/22  it’s about 50/50 so bring a mask just to be prepared.Safe travels and enjoy the views.

Quickest way to travel

Landed at Fumincino airport and accommodation opposite Termini station terminal in Rome. The ticket purchase system is user friendly, language options other than Italian and either cash or card purchases. Conductor moves thru coaches, checking tickets. Clean, fast and convenient 

Airport transfer

No terminé alojándome aquí, pero debo hacer una mención especial a la buena voluntad de Konrad. Tuve que cancelar el viaje por un problema de salud y Konrad (mi contacto en Rome Termini Rooms IV) accedió inmediatamente a cancelar él la reserva, a pesar de que la reserva que había hecho por Booking era sin cancelación gratuita, y a pesar de que le hice el pedido 7 días antes de la fecha de check in. Podría haber perdido todo mi dinero, pero Konrad tuvo la buena voluntad de ayudarme a recuperarlo. Muchas gracias Konrad!

I didn't end up staying here, but I must make a special mention of Konrad's good will. I had to cancel the trip due to a health problem and Konrad (my contact at Rome Termini Rooms IV) immediately agreed to cancel the reservation, even though the reservation I had made through Booking was without free cancellation, and despite the fact that I asked him for this favor 7 days before the check in date. I could have lost all my money, but Konrad was good enough to help me get it back. Thank you very much Konrad!

Its the main station of fast italo and normal trenitalia trains. You can find info and  tickets from machines. A big shopping mall and resturants are inside and outsides of termini. But one problem is with train is that there is no info about train num and plateform of if you have booked ticket before the last stop. Only info is availble on screen about last stop. So if you want to travel an area before milan and you are traveling to milan then you will  to find train and plate form num of milan train. Not for your place of visit. 

Big station

If you need to get to Fiumincino airport  you can go by train. There is only 1st class & the fee each way is €14.00
The trip takes approximately 30 minutes & goes direct from Termuni station (The main station in Rome) direct to the airport.
The carriage is comfortable  Also has storage for your luggage so it does not clog up the aisle.
A cheap alternative to taking a cab, which you will find in abundance at the airport  & they will give you an approximation of how much it may cost.

Rome to Fiumincino

This accommodation was well below what we thought we were getting, the room was tiny and sparsely furnished and sadly smelt like boiled cabbage. It was however clean and serviced daily and our rooms had decent bathrooms,  also situated very centrally so that was a plus factor. There are no duvets, just a sheet and one blanket plus the bed cover, also no side tables nor lamps. Noisy on the weekend with youngsters coming in late from parties. The triple room was larger but in general the whole place could do with a bit of a revamp. I see they still say breakfast included but apparently the owner  changed this in April 2017 so no longer included. We would not stay there again

Not the greatest

Poor displaying of directions for bus shuttles and for the toilets. I had to walk around the whole Termini to find the bus shuttle. We weren't so lucky with toilets. Despite the fact that all people are willing to help hardly anyone speaks English.
