Very near hakata station, very convenient and breakfast was good and comes with free drinks, cofee and tea in the lobby. Enjoyed the hotel very much.
Triples room was big enough for the family.

I loved that it is near 7-11, shopping mall and restaurants and everything in walking distance. Don't have to drag big suitcase very far. Ramen restaurants just below the hotel

I have stayed here before, and surprised I didn't write a review.

This hotel is really cool!

I am a fan of the Comfort Hotel chain in Japan, which is Comfort Inn in America.

If you go to Fukuoka, and need a good, solid place to stay, you want to check out Comfort Hotel.   It's one of the older units in the nationwide chain, but I really like it.  It's in a building from about 40 or 50 years ago that curves.  The hotel is on the top floors of that building.   The rooms are updated to nowadays, so there are all the amenities you find in any other Comfort (refrigerator, vending machines, good WiFi, wide flat screen TV with offerings).  But the building itself is definitely "Showa Era".

The staff are friendly and help you however you need for details on your stay.  The room conditions are top-notch.  Everything is exactly in its place, and clean and well-maintained.   Like I say, it's very cool.

I know that the hotel is popular with the Far East Asian tourist trade, but I have not had any problems so far with being made to feel like I don't belong, or that somehow I am an intruder in "their" hotel (even though I have lived in Japan for a total of eight years.)  This is of course a concern anywhere that sort of tour group appears, especially in Kyushu.  (I know this is a serious problem in Kyushu, but "sho ga nai" in some ways.  I have seen the same behavior in Waikiki in Honolulu---which is my country! "What are YOU doing here (in MY country)?")  You will be allowed to get food at the continental breakfast without a crowd trying to elbow you away from the food.  (Maybe they finally figured out that more food will come out of the kitchen in short order.)  

I would rate the hotel highly for treating all the guests in a welcoming manner.

Comfort Hotel Hakata is the best for price and value.   For sure.

Hotel is a Showa Era charm that's right across from Hakata Station

Our family stayed here for 5 nights. Reception is open 24 hours. Staffs are nice and can speak in English. Check in was smooth; after some document checking, we were given our room key. 

The room is clean and spacious as well as the en suite bathroom. The free breakfast was nice too. Variety of foods and drinks were served. The dining area is not too big but enough for their guests. 

The hotel is just across Hakata Station so it's very convenient for us since we had our 9 month  old baby in tow. Convenience stores are also nearby. The hotel also accepts free luggage storage after you checkout. 

We just had an experience wherein we asked the old lady doing the room cleaning/service to have our room cleaned. It seemed like she did not understand English so when we got back, everything is still the same, no new towels/beddings and the trashbins still full. That only happened once so it's really not a big issue.

Overall, we had a great stay at Comfort Hotel Hakata. Will definitely stay here again when we get back to Fukuoka.

convenient location, good breakfast, comfortable stay

Old hotel and really need renovation. Hotel location is the main plus point. Just in front of Hakata Station... with a lot of Shops and Restaurants. Hotel Facilities are quite basic and very basic breakfast menus (in fact, some guests who stay there more than 1 day, they served by same menus every day... )

Old Hotel but Great Location

Great location as hotel is located opposite the Hakata station. 

The room was clean, quite bare and basic though it was old, It had an odd curve. Housekeeping was good and done daily.  Bath essentials are provided in dispensers inside the bathroom. 

Reception was English speaking and helpful.  Checkin was fast and efficient on the self checkin machine.  
Staff were excellent when we asked if they could help us freeze some food we bought.  Seems like this is part of the temporary storage service provided by the Comfort Hotel. 
Also, staff showed great initiative when we asked for information to go to the Marinoa Outlet mall, they googled and checked for information on transport and even printed out the map for us. 
Great team work by the reception office team. 

Breakfast was included and staff were welcoming and cheerful. 

Overall a great stay. Dated rooms but the excellent staff made our stay great.

Great hotel if you will stay in the area. There's a next door convenience store. 

Rooms are a bit small but that's normal especially if your hotel is in the city. 
Breakfast could be very busy and waking up early is highly suggested. When you asked for an extra pillow the one they will give you is way better than the regular pillow. I forgot what do they called it but it's seems like a special pillow. 
What i like about them is they have soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in bathroom. 

Cons
Carpet is dirty so better use their slippers.

Hotel near the station

Good hotel. Very close to the train station. Also there are several main car rental stores around this hotel. Make it a very good first stop after arriving Fukuoka. One thing worth mentioning is: the hotel provides free breakfast in the morning and drinks in the afternoon and evening. The only downside of the hotel is the room size. However, it is normal as other hotels in the downtown in Japan. I strongly recommend this hotel for travelers who want to visit Fukuoka.

Family trip in Kyushu in 2023 Jan/Feb 

there is right ahead of  Hakata station.
so you can go shopping and eat out very easily.

breakfast is indifferent and room size is small.

they checked our luggage. if you want go out, but you have to check out, you can ask for them to check luggage.

Bedding linens are excellent. Room is rather old but spacious. Comfy Complimentary breakfast served even though the area on 1st floor are always busy with lots of travellers. A few steps from Hakata train station. Look for P7 and W14 exit thru from subway or bullet train for accessing to the hotel.

comfort in reasonable rate

It's a Comfort hotel. Not much to say average I guess. Bed was comfortable, Room was clean. It is conveniently located across the road from Hakata City JR Station. It's infrastructure is pretty old. Which is surprising for a comfort inn. Only one keycard per room is  a bit dated.

They have breakfast, but be prepared to wait. I just went downstairs saw the line, and decided to go to 7-11 which is in the same building. 

Plus sides Staff spoke english, room was clean like i said bed's comfy. I am not that picky in regards to hotels so I can probably say safely i'd stay there again.

The view from my room was amazing.
