This was the place we stayed at throughout our five days in Shiretoko. It was a very nice hotel with great view of the sea and of sunsets. There is also a campsite next to the hotel which made for lovely walks in the early morning. It has two nice sister hotels to which you could also use their onsen (bath) and other facilities, and which are both considerably more up-market.

Nice hotel with a nice view!

Hostel was recently refurbished. Nice lobby with ceiling to floor windows overlooking greenery and Sea of Okhotsk. We booked a room for three for two nights. Very nice, simple room with comfortable beds and blackout curtains. En suite toilet and wash basin but no bath/shower in room. Self laundry available. Strong wifi in room. 

Hotel was well maintained and scrupulously clean. Reception was manned by a guy who took his responsibilities seriously. 

No meals provided. Self catering facilities available. Overall, a nice, comfortable stay at the hostel. Free parking available. 

 



Nice views

We were looking for a affordable n nice place to stay n luckily we found here.Our tatami room is clean n spacious. U make ur own bed every night with clean sheets provided. The tatami was comfortable to sleep in. There is daily housekeeping with new towels provided everyday. There is a kitchen for us to use too. Most of the cooking essentials such as pans, plates, spoon, toaster, fridge, cups, microwave etc are there. So we bought our vegetable, eggs, noodle at nearby mart to cook.

The lobby is a great place to relax and read with great Seaview. Parking is free too. 

Our room has only toilet and washing basin so we have to go to the hotel hotspring to bath.Since the hotel is under the same group with their other 2 more upscale hotels,Kitakobushi Shiretoko and Kiki Shiretoko, you can use their hotspring baths for Free!! We went to both these hotels to bath instead.

We really enjoyed our stay here.

Well worth it

The hotel is located on the mountain. It is a. Try good place to view sunset. All rooms have a good seaview thus all the guests can admire the   Sunset in the room.
However, the hotel is aged. There are too little staff to serve.  You have to ask the reception to turn on the main switch before you turn on the air conditioner. No food is serve in the hotel.
The customer is willing to help although it is a shortage of manpower. They did help to book a night tour for us and reply everything very fast.
Surprise is given to us that we saw 2 deers outside the hotel one day when we went out.

Aged hotel with good sunset view 

Room size is ok and the view from our room was great! The room only have toilet with a toilet bowl inside. There is no shower. You will have to go to the public bath onsen area to take your bath (Male and Female separated). The area to take your bath is an open area, so dun expect to have a bathroom to yourself to take your bath. The public bath onsen area looks quite old too. Not much facilities.

Great view but not a great stay

The hostel looked really nice but the staff was extremely unfriendly. This was directly upon arrival. We stayed only one night and cancelled the other nights, payed the cancellation fee and booked another hotel instead.
