We have been there for a couple of nights this January and we loved the place.This is a true Japanese experience, with futon to sleep on the floor and japanese furniture.
As usual everything is tidy and superclean.
We love this place for the wonderful setting and for the kindness of the staff.
Highly recommended!

The True Japan!

A short drive from the port , a traditional Japanese hotel,  comfortable futon , decent shower  , good size room. If you are new to Japanese food then you are in for a treat,  absolutely delicious. They also serve ice cold beer,  very refreshing after a days Bird watching.  The onsen has both outside and inside areas, I preferred the inside one as the outside one was extremely hot. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend. 

2 night stay 

This traditional hotel is small but very comfortable and welcoming! you have reached a truly authentic local community. The dinner was amazing - the most seafood I have ever eaten in one sitting. It's walking distance to the Kuma no yu open air onsen.

You could make a request to the hotel for pick up or drop off at bus terminal or downtown.  Be aware that the hotel will be off in the afternoon. Please check with the hotel if you plan to return to the hotel during these hours.

I stayed there for 2 nights.  The breakfasts and dinners tasted good.

Traditional Japanese Hotel

We stayed here for one night in December as part of our birdwatching trip around Japan. The staff were fantastic, and thank you to the receptionist who insisted on driving us after dinner to the owl site.

The rooms were spacious and traditional with Japanese mats and floor beds (that do wonders for your back!). The evening food was outstanding with a large array of sashimi and fish, while the breakfast too was large (a bit too much and savoury for us at 7am!).

The Hotel Minenoyu is located a mile or so west out of Rausu, and I'd certainly consider staying here if I was in Rausu again.

One night stay in the snow with excellent food

It's quite outdated with signs of wear and tear. The tatami room size is modest but clean. It's located 3 minutes of drive from Rausu port and therefore quite convenient. Both dinner and breakfast are Japanese style set meal and have a good variety of hot and cold dishes. Onsen was adequate. There isn't much choice of accommodation in the area.  Next to this is Rausu Daiichi Hotel that we stayed 5 years ago, which I reckoned as slightly better than this one.
