This place just a corn of jonker street, near casa de Rio .
If weekend can visit night market .
This guest house very unique and offer to 18 years old and above stay . Reason why it's because the owner is passion on Arts And the design of this building not very suitable for children hang around cause many antique items 

Unique and historical plave

Great location -- downtown, close to everything, lots of restaurants around.
Good aircon rooms, everything is new and in best condition.  Tea, coffee, breakfast, etc.
The lady managing the place is very friendly and indeed helpful.
Finally, it's super budget friendly, it doesn't get better than this.

Great Budget Accommodation

We only stumbled upon this place after our first choice was full and I am so happy we did.

The lady owner is very friendly and gives you a low down of all the things that are happening in town and what you shouldn’t miss. 

We were only going to stay 2 nights but stayed 4. The guesthouse is super clean, has super comfy beds and pillows. The showers are shared but always clean. There is always toilet paper and a soap dispenser. Free water, tea & coffee and towels are included. 

The location is great because you are away from the noise and action in the centre but it’s surrounded by many restaurants serving all varieties of the Malay fusion food. 

Great place in a great location

We stayed here two nights and arrived very late but no problem to get into our room. 
The owner is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are very spacious with aircon and fan. The shared bathrooms are very clean. 
There is no breakfast included but you can make yourself coffee and tea and water is for free. 
You can use a good wifi connection or a internet computer. 
The guesthouse is under video surveillance. 
Very well located. Quiet but everything is in walking distance. 
We would definitely stay here again. 

Well located, clean and nice

Lone travellers take note. My confirmed dorm booking was abruptly cancelled by the guest house 2 days prior to my arrival. The reason being that a group of people wanted to occupy the whole room. The owner vaguely mentioned over the phone that that there is another hostel that I can go to. Rate was RM30. Too shell shocked at being kicked to the kerb at the very last minute, I declined her offer. 
The woman wanted me to cancel my Hostelworld booking but I refused because I was scared that I would be penalised. So she surreptitiously  went to the booking site and told them that  it was the guest who wanted to make the cancellation. Quite ingenious of guest house owners who want to bump off unwanted guests. 
Nevertheless after recovering from my shock, I did manage to find a better place to stay. 
Buffalo Soldiers Home was beyond marvellous. Unlike 1511 guesthouse, the homestay was situated in a residential area, 5 minutes away, the dorm room was on the ground floor. 
1511 is situated on the 1st floor, 1 flight of stairs from the street level. It is situated along a row of shophouses and nearby is the dim sum restaurant. At night the tables are laid out in the parking lot in front of the restaurant.
